  1. This build is using a pretty much stock Revell dragster kit and a resin Studebaker dragster body by Jimmy Flintstone. Paint is Icy Blue with a black area on top that was hit with some Marbilizer. Some chrome has been striped. Comments welcome good or bad. Thanks for looking !
  2. Got these kits over the last week or so. Not sure why I bought the boat.
  3. I must admit that I was prepared to not like it but it looks great in that color. Nice build !
  4. Thank you so much guys. I am happy to report that since this site was halted my wife came home and is doing pretty good. A nurse comes to the house 3 days a week to change her wound dressing and wound vac. She started work again and was allowed to work from home since 95 % of what she does is on the phone and computer. I have been able to start building again and was able to finish this build. I will post photos in the next day or two. I have also started my next build which is a rear engined dragster with a custom stretched and narrowed Studebaker body which was cast by Jimmy Flintstone. I'm back baby !!! And so is the forum !!
  5. Hey Carl ! Another great looking Ford ! Love your builds, keep em' coming.
  6. I lived in Oak Lawn in the 60's. Went to Oak Lawn Community High on 95 th. I believe it was. Lived off of 87 th. and Natoma. Used to work at the Texaco gas station at the corner of 87 th. and Oak Park. Spent many a night the Starlite drive in movie theater and than afterwards either "Pup and Pop" across on Harlem or down to 79 th. to the White Castle once it was built. Good times.
  7. What I got today was very good news. My wife was transfered out of the ICU and into a single person regular hospital room. Plus, she can have food from the regular menu !!! This is huge !!!!
  8. Thank you guys, that means alot. Serious operation she had but the good news is she is doing fine and in time will be back to her old self. I went to my work and resigned yesterday. Only had one more week to go till I retired anyway. Wife needs me more now than the stupid job does. I guess I am off topic here now. Sorry about that.
  9. I really like that color. As I have said before.......... you sure can pay down a slick paint job. Well done !
  10. Yup, another fine build with a great paint job. Since I had a 1:1 1980 Vette I have a soft spot for the C3 Corvettes. Well done !
  11. Thank you John. May not be able to work on this for awhile as on Tuesday my wife had to have emergency surgury and is still in ICU. Hope they can move her to a regular room tomorrow and maybe come home next Thursday.
  12. That is one wild build ! Looks great ! I hope mine comes out half as good. I did not get a resin nose piece just the pewter one.
  13. Thanks Glenn. Trying to decide on a body color now.
  14. Very nice build.
  15. Looks cool. That was a good idea.
  16. If you use Ez Off get the yellow can. The blue can does not work !
  17. Cool ! I like that .
  18. Nice build, love the interior.
  19. Yes it is Studebaker. Has a pewter ( I Think ) nose piece for it. Jimmy Flintstone body. Suposed to fit the Revell dragsters. We shall see.
