  1. Since I am stalled on the Corvette hot rod thing while awaiting parts I needed to start another project. Looking at my stash I found a couple of dragsters I figured I would not build anytime soon so I had this idea to combine the two. Now, let me be the first to say I realize this is a crazy stupid idea that would not function well if at all in the real world. I have for some reason been building some strange stuff lately for some reason. That being said I present my next "stupid " wip. Done just for fun !
  2. Cool project.
  3. Did you try ebay ? There is usually some there.
  4. Some very nice work going on around here.
  5. Very, very nice work.
  6. In the summer here in Arizona those are daily conditions. What I do is to paint early in the morning like at 6 am and then let the paint "bake" in the garage. If I would try and paint say at 3 pm or so the paint seems to dry almost before it hits the plastic.
  7. Very good looking model.
  8. Thanks Carl. Looking forward to get the donor kit I ordered so I can get back at it.
  9. Thank Ira. I think I just may have to narrow the body. I want to wait till I get the frame built up and do a mock up to see if I need to and how much .
  10. I love this build. More photos ?
  11. You did a great job. Fine looking replica.
  12. Looks cool !
  13. I think I solved my problem. I just bought a Monogram LiL' Coffin. That should be a good platform to work with. Got it on ebay. Paid too much but I am hoping this will solve a lot of the headaches my other donation kit would have created. I went with a 1/24 scale kit in hopes it will make the 1/25 Vette look more to the scale I am looking for without having to splice the Vette body through the middle. We will see. Kit may be here by the weekend. I will just have to start another wip. I have another stupid idea for a rail dragster.
  14. Looks good Blair. Nice shade of green.
  15. Thanks, I was really getting into this build. I think I need a 1/24 Monogram T Bucket kit to make this work well. I am going to put a couple of drag kits up for trade and maybe I will find a fellow member who has one they would like to trade.
  16. Have to put this WIP on hold for a little while. The kit I bought to supply the frame and engine and suspension just wont work. I got the reissue of the double T kit and it is just too small. Doesn't really seem to be a true 1/25 scale kit. Time to cuise ebay and try to find a kit that will be more fit for my needs. As Arnold would say " I'll be back ! "
  17. Very nice. I always thought that was a sharp car.
  18. They look like cool little cars.
  19. Thanks guys. Rob, I think you may very well be right about having to narrow the body. Really don't want to . I will wait till I get the frame mocked up to see but I think a 1/2 inch slice would make a big difference in the overall look. We shall see.
  20. That sucker turned out great !!
  21. Very cool project. May I suggest spraying your well painted figure with some dullcote to kill the shine ? Just a suggestion.
  22. I kind of like the bubble top idea. I'm going to have to give that more thought.
  23. Very nice. What's he going to build next ?
