  3. i halfway set the junkyard up for measure purposes at the car show while working on the diner. looks weird with no cars in the yard. thought you might like to see it this way.i made some cement barriers for the parking lot.
  4. i am not yet done with it but here is what i have to date. this was the back of the diner last week i made a set of stairs for the back door i added some grass and added a fence i made a dumpster and some garbage lying around it. the soda cases are reworked danbury mint coke cases the coke canisters are danbury mint and the gas pump was an old red lighter that i repainted and aged i made a couple of cakes for the counter and added some wall decorations
  5. i have been working on my diner for the upcoming car show. there are only nine of these diners. i changed mine a little . i chromed the front and back fixed everything in place inside the diner so i won't have to set anything up at the shows.it has interior lights but i added some outside lights. finally i changed the name on the diner to muddy flats diner like the junkyard. here is a shot from inside the 59 chevy on the way to the diner.lol not to crowded today but the lot will be full on the day of the car show. just another angle a few shots from outside looking in.

  9. this looks superb Robert.let your imagination fly. boss hogs might be under there somewhere.lol i love it
  10. the phone booth comes as a kit i will look for the seller and post it it is 24th / 25th scale. the diner is a pre production model in 24th scale that was done by myself and brian dunning of west coast precision models. he was going to have them made to sell but had problems with china so there are only 9 of them around. since they are pre production there are some issues with it like some parts don't fit right so i had to fix them.i can't sell these but if anyone is interested in one as a pre production model let me know and i will find out if any are left. last i heard there were 4 left. you can't get much more of a limited item than 9 total made.it is possible he may get the rest but that is doubtfull.there are more pictures of it in the diorama forum.below is the model that was used to copy this diner the silver diner is larger at about 37 inches long where as the red diner is 24 inches long from the ends of the awnings.
  11. these types of dents can only be acheived by remaking the part out of aluminum. a little tricky but not that hard to do.
  12. this studebaker starlight coupe was found lying out behind a diner. good for parts only not much left to restore.lol the model is a 24th scale by danbury mint.
  13. here is part 2. i have the diner that this was modeled after and i chose the colors for this one. it came with a few figures but i made a few customers for it as there are none.this is a night time scene it comes with interior lights but i thought it would be cool to have some outside lights. a shot from a distance a little closer i forgot to show the interior with roof removed so here it is. right side interior with lights on left side interior with lights on
  14. i have been working on my diner for the upcoming car show. there are only nine of these diners. i changed mine a little . i chromed the front and back fixed everything in place inside the diner so i won't have to set anything up at the shows.it has interior lights but i added some outside lights. finally i changed the name on the diner to muddy flats diner like the junkyard. here is a shot from inside the 59 chevy on the way to the diner.lo just another angle a few shots from outside looking in. a view of the back. this is not yet done i still need to ad some things to it. you never know whats behind an old diner
  15. any diorama i do starts in my head. i see or think of something and the rest just follows.lol great dio i love it.
  16. looks devine. the scripts and badges give it a look of realism. i have been looking for a distressed or broken one to turn into a junker.if i ever get one and do it i will post it.

  18. great job. thats a cool looking little car. what scale is it i would love to junk one of these.
  19. this model is a 1/25 scale liberty classics 1947 international pick up good project or parts vehicle. was an old cemetary grounds truck.its been lying around in the back of the old church for years and has just been picked up by the local junkyard. someone hurry up and save it from the crusher. i made all wood floors for it and made an old seat for it. the wipers on the model are on the plastic glass frame i made old wipers and put them on the roof where they belong.i put in all real laminated glass and i made the tires from scrath.aged and rusted it and here is what i came up with.lol
  20. this is a danbury mint 1941 dodge p/up that was junked a couple of years ago.this truck had many issues when i got it so i just totaly junked it out. the first two pictures are what it looked like next to a good one. ok so the grass is a little out of scale. lol
