Expect a lot of religious nick knacks. And christian Muzzak. Up until recently, my local HL was carrying a poor selection of kits. But John mentioned it no longer does apparently. If you know what you are looking for, there are numerous useful items there. But it's like a nightmarish treasure hunt to find what you need and avoid the bible pushing low lifes in the store. I wish there wasn't so much religion in that store.

I almost bought a new Revell kit, owned by Hobbico today. But luckily, my LHS lets me open up their heaps before I commit to purchase. Saves them the trouble of having to return it. And hey, like everybody suggests, don't like it don't buy it fixes everything right? The newly modified reissue to become the 57 BelAir convertible had horribly sculpted and inaccurate bodylines. This prevented me from having the trouble to built it. Disappointing but not surprised. The worst offender were two kits offered by Revell. An early 90s Mustang LX notchback. The engine and chassis are very good. But the body is completely, unfortunately scrap material. Luckily, after being notified of this by numerous people, Revell had released a second issue of this kit, with added on parts. But unfortunately, the body was still trash. So you can build half of the kit. But can never finish it with the supplied body, rendering the kit unbuildable.

Great job on the bodywork! But your tires are backwards lol. The roof bump looks nice also!

Two types of builders. The X brace for the chassis was cast in separate add on pieces. Completely understandable. How that turned into almost a year to fix, no idea.

Picked this up today. Surprisingly, at $24 is the same price as the modified reissue of the 57 Bel Air convertibe. Somehow a snap kit costs as much as a full detail? Odd. No name crummy tires from the old Jeep wrangler kit. The wheels look decent.

This body is much more forgivable than the mustang.

I'm excited to hear about the Ford Police....But at the price point, I don't think I'll be as excited when it's released lol. The Matt and Debbie tbird was an awsome kit. Hopefully, the Lincoln that shared many parts, will also be reissued.

Would people want a set of wheels and tires cast specifically for this? I was using the Jeep wagon wheels and big and little knobbies.

Yes! These are 1/24 scale. They will work with the tamiya and polar lights chasiss.

The body is ok for a mustang from revell. Most of the parts fit. The suspension need to be lowered and needs tires with smaller sidewall. And the finish is up to you.

Highway 61 has an about 2007 express and savannah.

Boxart shows the wrong body still. Wonder if they bothered to fix the chassis.

Yes. It's about 1/27 scale. And the windshield wipers are for a right had drive car. The RMR body is alot better. And not just a copy.

I believe that one has the custom 6 spoke wheels, and a lowered 2wd chassis. Odd that they went and tooled that up. This one has the stock wheels. They are not setup for the snaptite metal axles, but work as well. PM me if you need them.

The Revell police Expedition has the wrong wheels for the model year. The wheels are for the newer bodystyle Expeditions. The older kit release wheels tho, are the correct ones. But this is usual Revell, not knowing what they're doing:/ The push bar and roof lightbar, are undersized and just garbage. The rear and middle partitions are decent tho.

Congrats Bob! It was great to see in person. And amazing how much a turn around you made it from Revell's very simplified kit. No. Not at all. The owner has the right to not like it all they want. That really doesn't mean jack in the real world that we live in. It has nothing to do with either place. His post was about the builder's model. I would still goto both places just like I buy both magazines. One does not affect the other.
