  1. Of course, Snake is speaking in hyperbole....... Your plastic won't spontaneously go up in flames, but if your primer is too "hot" for the plastic, it will make it rough and kinda hard to sand back smooth. I've been lucky that I haven't had crazing happen but a few times. Like I said earlier tho, I use engine enamel primer from DupliColor, it's tough enough to stand up to the lacquer paints and won't craze plastics......
  2. You may be better off with the Tamiya white primer than using DupliColor primer, as some guys have had problems with it crazing the recent plastics...... Instead of D-Cs lacquer primer, I use their engine enamel primer.......... You might want to test the paint over the Tamiya primer on a plastic spoon, just to be on the safe side.......
  3. Dupli-Color makes a chrome yellow in their Perfect Match line..... and It's not metallic, so it would be ideal for a factory paint job on a late '60s muscle car. One word of warning tho, their nonmetallic paints tend to spatter from the nozzle if you don't keep it wiped clean. Their metallics and pearls don't......
  4. Thanks for the link, Art! I actually ran across that site while doing my own searching. Seems you have to be a member to even use their search function......... The '74 I mentioned was on forbbodiesonly....... I looked around on that site but didn't find much...............
  5. Hey, Jim....... There were several cars I was wanting numbers for, One being the Charger that my old man just purchased. It's a base model '73 with a 318/auto on column but it has the Aztec appearance package. I've only seen one more with this package and it was a '74 Rallye........... Any info that you may can find would be very cool and much appreciated!
  6. Hey, Guys.......... I'm wondering if there is a site that helps you look up the production numbers for a certain car? There's several cars that I would love to find out just how many were made..... Thanks a bunch for any help.........!
  7. That's Cool........!
  8. The Goodness of this music kinda sneaks up on you........ It's more of an experience than a listen...... Thanks for posting them, I've found a new band to discover!
  9. That song isn't bad! "New Fang" is the one that got them some airplay, though.............
  10. Thanks, Guys! I believe I have a WIP for each of these, should you want to see what all was done..............
  11. I just discovered this group today. It's QOTSA's singer/guitarist Josh Homme, Dave Grohl of Nirvana/ Foo Fighters fame, and John Paul Jones on keyboards and bass (yes, THAT John Paul!). They call themselves Them Crooked Vultures........ Here's the album art from their debut album...... I haven't had a chance to listen to the whole album yet, but what I've heard sounds Awesome...........
  12. Thank You, Gentlemen...........!
  13. These are the four that I completed this year...... I started on a couple others, but they are sitting idle in the box waiting on me to finish them.... It's a little early to show a "Year in Review", but the project that I'm working on at the moment is going to take me into next year...... As always thanks for looking and comment freely..................
  14. Yessir, the DZs.......
  15. Thanks a bunch, Fellas! Martin, I would have entered this one into the Community Build, but I had too much progress on it when the topic was started........
  16. And all the cute nurses! Get better, Harry............. seems like you're well on your way to doing just that.
  17. Thanks, everybody.......!
  18. Thank You, Carl.............
  19. Thanks! The headlights were my attempt to do something a little different.............. I would have rather put some visors on them to be honest, though....
  20. Thank You, Friends! Kevin, here's a link to the WIP topic, it shows everything done if you'd like to check it out.........
  21. This was my first lowrider build..... Primer paint and clear are all Dupli-Color. I had a lot of fun with this build, it's one of my favorite kits........ Thanks for looking! and comment freely..................
  22. So I was gonna try to pick up some Scratch-X next time at the auto parts store. From what I've read and seen, it would be perfect for removing the little bit of blush on the hood of my Impala....... I have a question on how to use it, tho. Do I use it like a wax (apply, haze, remove) or should I actually polish with it? Thanks for any insight on this......................................
  23. Almost got this one foiled, still need to do the trim down the other side then I can start final assembly! I'll paint the headliner and trim the foil on the inside of the body, of course..... This will probably be the last update from this one until it's Under Glass.......... Thanks for looking, comment freely..........
  24. I'm seeing the "This comment can no longer be edited........" box on MY computer.... only in this topic. Weird............
