Ed, It looks like the antirainbow in the pic, the spectrum is reversed! I never knew that...........

Hey, Clayton.... I have a few truckers in the family. One is an aunt that drove over the road for about 30 years. (she told me the secret to backing a trailer). With everything being kept up with electronically now, I bet it's impossible to make "adjustments" in your logs, or to drive more hours than you should, or even slip over into the far left lane to make time anymore....... Everything has to be by the book, now......... I have nothing but respect for truck drivers, a cop once told me that while directing traffic you can tell a truck to go up, and he'll do his damnest to do it. It just seems like a lot is changing for drivers, and some not for the better.............

The only phone I have is a land line........ The last cell phone I had wouldn't even take pictures. I'm not old fashioned, just behind the times, I guess (or is that the same thing?) I do have a tattoo, it's of Swiper the Fox! I got it for my niece when she was about 3, she's 13 now...... I'm still glad I have it.

Favorite Obscure or Discovered Music Album
JollySipper replied to afx's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I discovered this album a while back, it's Primus covering the soundtrack to "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory".......... The whole album has a disassociated kinda surreal feel to it, just like the movie! You guys should look it up on your favorite music listening site............. -
Why no kit plating chrome?
JollySipper replied to JollySipper's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thanks for the replies, Guys! Harry, I've seen the beautiful results you get with Spaz Stix, I was just wondering if the chrome for kits was available as a dip, maybe....... That's how I thought that kit pieces were done, like in a vat or something (like hydroplating)....... Ace cleared that up for me, though.... -
This question may be a silly one...... How come the chrome plating used on kits isn't available to the hobbyist? or is it?

Spare tire set-up for '50 Chevy?
JollySipper replied to JollySipper's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Thanks, Bill! So where would the spare be mounted on a '50 model? Under the bed, or inside of the bed? I'm planning a custom anyway, but would like it to be half correct......... -
Hey, Friends........ Does anyone know of a caster of spare tire fenders for the AMT '50 Chevy pick-up? And maybe a way to mount the spares to the body? Thanks for any help...................

Revell 68 Dodge Charger kit question.
JollySipper replied to GMP440's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I believe they are decals, Friend......... This pic shows their placement on the body. There is a crease down the side of the body that they are centered on........... -
Harry, you've probably heard this....... Billy Joel was giving an interview once and someone asked him 'what's it like being married to Cindy Crawford?' Billy Joel says " I'm not, I'm married to Cristie Brinkley." The guy says "yea, you wish!"

A Klondike bar would do anything for Chuck Norris. Death once had a near Chuck Norris experience. Chuck Norris doesn't sleep, he waits. When the Boogey Man goes to bed, he checks his closet for Chuck Norris. Waldo is hiding from Chuck Norris. NASA cannot find life on Mars because Chuck Norris has already been there. When he sticks his hand in water, he doesn't get wet..... The water gets Chuck Norris. Yea, the Chuck Norris "facts" are corny, I like them though.................

Thank you Carl and Darren! All the pieces were chrome except for the rim inserts. the tires, seat and grips were painted white, and I painted the frame gray........ I guess I should have picked more contrasting colors for something so small.......... Here's another pic that hopefully shows the scheme better.

When did color fall out of favor?
JollySipper replied to Lunajammer's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I use pretty much only DupliColor products on bodies, it would be nice if car makers would pick up some new colors (I like the new ones on the pickup samples posted earlier) then it would trickle down to the touch-up paints and we would have more colors to choose from.......... -
Thank you, Gents........ The paint is just a base white with pearl white over it, then I masked for the silver/gray color, sprayed it then cleared.........

Her and her little bro call me 'sir' even though I've told them they don't have to, just be respectful of everyone else.......

Never had crawdads, but chicken livers is ideal for catching catfish........ We have a river that runs along our town that used to be safe to eat from, I wouldn't eat from there now if I had to....................
