  1. Very cool truck, Friend! Sweptlines are tough trucks......... There is a company called Scarebird.com that makes disc brake conversion kits for these trucks, if you wanted to go that route.......
  2. Hey, Harry.... been watching your progress on this one, Amazing! Do they make resin rivets in this scale? you could lay them a string at a time and not have to do them individually
  3. You just have to learn how to read Harry, man........ If he makes a comment at all, he is showing an interest whether the comment be positive or negative. We are here to learn to build better and he's trying to make us do just that..............
  4. I was asking about 1:1 wheels, friend....... Your story reminds me of an incident that happened when I was a kid. Someone was trying to steal the rims off of my old man's Satellite he had at the time. The car fell off the jack, making enough noise to wake Dad....... He runs outside wearing only a shot-gun. He was able to scare off the thief, and kept his rims! I guess he was lucky that time............... They were Raiders, BTW......
  5. I'm barely old enough to remember the Keystone Raider wheels. The Klassics are still being made, I believe. I was once told there was an argument that Cragars were the better rim, or that Keystones were better. This is the classic Cragar design............ Here is a pic of a Raider....... I'm just curious as to which rim you guys prefer..... They are very similar in design, so what caused the disagreement as to which was better?
  6. Welcome, Chuck........ Quite a few members here from North Carolina............
  7. Anywhere that I can get a charred burger with cole slaw and chili............. Taco bell would be my favorite chain restaurant....
  8. You should read up on this guy! He spent the better part of his life studying ancient Sumerian texts in an effort to prove that the planet Nibiru really exists..... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zecharia_Sitchin Some of the theories out there are really far-fetched, but my mind is one that doesn't really believe anything, so I believe anything is possible...... If that makes any sense!
  9. Bill, I'm sure you have read about the Annunaki! We were put here to be slaves, to mine Earth's gold.......... There is an alien head on the Oreo cookie, it's a large oval with an antenna coming out the top.......!
  10. DeNiro and Peschi (sp?) from two of the best movies ever!
  11. That's okay, there's not really much to get............ ! I really liked your Dough Boy joke though, that's pretty funny.....
  12. Thanks, Dann......! It's not a project for tomorrow, but one that I have in the back of my mind to do............
  13. I want to build a countach, pretty much finished one but the engine bay crumpled when it was time to put the frame to the body. I would love to have a decent model of one. Do you think it would take much work to put a Monogram engine into an Aoshima kit? Here's the Monogram engine, it's 1/24......
  14. This may be a silly question, can you do a System Restore back to a point to where your FireFox was working?
  15. Dan, you have a PM.............
  16. It was called "Posting Your Build on Another Guys Thread"....... It's on page 6 now in General....... I would bump it for you but it's locked................
  17. Here's on of my favorite Dali paintings, it's called Raphaelesque Head Exploding...... Another Dali bit of trivia.... He used to baptise his paintings in a lake in Spain where he lived...........
  18. I like Elmers school glue, it doesn't make the strongest bond, but if you handle the model easily it works fine. The less glue you use, the better it holds........ I use it to attach mirrors and door handles on finished paint. If you make a goof with it, it cleans up with soapy water.........
  19. Wow, That's a nice color! and I like the "suede" look it has not cleared.... If you're building it as a pro-touring car, it would look good with black wheels and some black trim. Just an idea, but it's your build, friend...... do as you'd like!
  20. Hey, Your epidermis is showing...............
  21. I like to build in the quiet like a lot of you guys.......... It's when I'm waiting for paint or glue to dry that I turn on my music.
  22. It's a trick I learned on here......... It does a light sanding of the plastic, even in scripts and grooves where sand paper can't get to. Gives the surface a little "bite" for the primer. After Comet, I use dish soap and let everything air dry......
