  1. How's your thumb now, friend? You may need stitches......... I've done lots of "not very bright" things as far as injuring myself. One of the dumbest things was I got mad at a guy once and punched the taillights out of his truck. I opened the index knuckle on my right hand, so badly that I could see the tendon move when I moved my finger...... That's been a good 15 years ago (I've mellowed out a LOT since then) and still have a pretty prominent scar from it....... I hope your injury isn't going to hinder you building or looking after the Missus...
  2. Hey, Carl friend....! I used Krylon gloss white over a gray primer, then sprayed DupliColor Pearl White over that....... the pearl is a Perfect-Match for a Toyota, and is so thin and translucent that you need a white base for it..........
  3. I don't have much of an update for you guys, but I wanted to show how my experiment with DupliColor Universal Chrome came out........ It's not quite as reflective a finish that some get with Alclad or Spaz Stix, but it will work for the suspension parts on this build.... And I got the belly pan painted and exhaust ran..... Thanks for looking in and feel free to comment......
  4. Mend this careless thread, it's gone askew, Pull and see how much we can undo....
  5. We all know the original artist, let's see who can guess who did a cover of it........ Haplessly passing your time in the grassland away, Only dimly aware of a scent of unease in the air.....
  6. This one is "Only" by Nine Inch Nails
  7. Thank You Charlie..... After doing some digging I think the seat pattern is called "Aztek"...
  8. I just couldn't leave it alone, kept picking at the scab, It was a doorway, tried to seal itself shut, and I climbed in...... Now I am somewhere I am not supposed to be, and I can see things I never really should have seen
  9. Thanks, Fellas.... I'll have the old man check out this thread so he can see all your nice comments! BTW, does anyone know what the pattern on the seats is called? It's not houndstooth or paisley, I'm not sure what it's called......
  10. Hey, Michael! The seat I'm sure can be adjusted forward or back............ I remember that some old bench seat cars he had, the driver and passenger had to move together or the seat would catch in the tracks crooked........ A bench is better for having your companion along for a ride with you, she can sit a lot closer......
  11. Hey, Friend....... This is gonna be cool when done! Can you tell us more about the lace transfers? Where you got them, are they dry transfers or stickers? What clears can you use over them? Thanks!
  12. I have a box of music CDs that I will probably never listen to any more, as I have a Napster account............... They carry almost anything you could want to listen to......
  13. That would be an awesome engine to build an A-Bone around.........
  14. Yea, Dad loves the "Mopes" too (as I call them)....... I'm really happy for him being able to get this car. He's had to sell some nice vehicles in the past to feed us kids, something he'll never have to do with this one...... and he paid well less than $20K for it, even less than $15K........
  15. Could they throw in the Astro Supremes from the '60 Starliner? maybe a custom interior....... That would be awesome!
  16. I wonder if there's a way to show the fuel level thru the clear tank ends........ That would be a neat touch!
  17. Got the interior finished and the engine started......... Thanks for looking in...
  18. Thought I would show my latest projects progress....... Going for a mildly customized lowrider. I want to do an all out show lowrider in the future, so this kit is preparing me for that...... The idea is a pearl white interior in a black and gray body with the spoke wheels pictured. Thanks for looking, feedback welcomed...!
  19. Thanks, but it's only a 318 car, so he won't be making any laps a Darlington............. just a cruiser..... Slight correction, the seat material is factory, only the carpet has been changed on the inside..........
  20. So my Mom calls me on the phone and says "Step outside, I have something to show you." Her and Dad pull up in this! It's all original (minus the wheels, but he has the original wheel covers) The paint, top, engine, trans, all original. I believe the seats have been redone, but that's it......... Less than 78,000 miles on it..........
  21. Hey, David..... if you look at page 3 of Impalows Pinto Gasser build you can see the wire centers he got from eBay. He had to make his own rims and hubs, but they look really good!
  22. Can we try to keep our noses above water on this one, Guys? Please? The glass is only half full, you can tread it...........!
  23. Here's yet another album by Les Claypool........ He builds bands just so they can make an album together, then he moves on to other projects. He has been quoted as saying "Play as much as you can, as often as you can, with as many different people as you can, it's they only way you can learn and grow." Anyway, this group is called Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains, the album is The Big EyeBall in the Sky..... it consist of Les on bass, Bernie Worrell on keys, Buckethead on guitar, and Brian Mantia on drums....... Google "Elephant Ghost" and give it a listen..........
  24. Super Nice! and something not usually done to a Willys.........
  25. The answer to that may be as simple as 'our parents decided to have a child', or could be as profound as We were born so that certain events could take place, or so that we could be a part of someones life that needed us in their life.......
