  1. Since you would have to tint the inside of the glass, I would think that you could polish the outside...... just do it after you spray the inside though, in case you get any overspray on the outside.
  2. You guys will probably hate my recommendation because 1) it's a romantic comedy, and 2) it's in French, so you have to read the dialogue. But try a movie called Amelie, starring Audrey Tautou at her cutest and sweetest..... a good wholesome movie without any cursing or violence.....
  3. Thanks, guys...... some really good insight here
  4. I done some reading online.... the worse I have read is that they can become a bit possessive of their human sometimes. You are right about them being bred to fight, but once they abolished fighting in England, they started breeding them with different breeds than they did for fighting. Dalmations and such dogs (hence white being a popular color) and the fight gene may still be there, but diluted by the other, more docile dogs.....
  5. Is it possible I can do both? Rescue a pup from a breeder? The rescue animals I have been reading about are all being fostered. They have homes that are caring for them. The puppies, on the other hand, have nobody and will end up back in the "puppy factories" if not sold. I wouldn't need papers, so that knocks down on the price some......... What do you guys think would be the most humane approach?
  6. Thanks, Jim..... I'm undecided on the breeder vs rescue thing. There is a breeder here in NC. Pups come pedigree'd and registered. I would love a puppy, but a fully papered pup will run about the $1200-$2000 range. There is also a rescue group here on the east coast. Rescuing one would be cool, and a lot cheaper, but you have to go through a LOT of red tape, and those dogs have usually been abused or neglected, so they have to be rehabilitated......
  7. Thanks for posting the links, Jim! I've been around a lot of Pit Bulls, all just as gentle as you could want. The Bull Terrier, though, I've only seen on TV... Bud Light used one named "Spudz Mackenzie", and I think Target used to use one in their commercials.....
  8. They are a different breed than the Pit Bull, and although Pits have a bad reputation they can be big babies if raised properly...
  9. Gonna have to pinch pennies for a while, but I'm looking to get one of these little "gladiators". Anyone of you have one or experience with them? If so, please tell me of them, the good and the bad.... Thank You.......
  10. Do you call them by their full name when you scold them?
  11. That's the stance it needs! Also, would you mind too much if I built the '40 pick up in your avatar?
  12. That's an awesome car, and just what I needed....... Thank you
  13. I think I've got it figured out, guys..... I'll just mask where it doesn't get painted and cross my fingers! Bruce, that's a great looking model, I really like the Pro-Tour look! I'm working on a '62 though.... and thanks for going through the trouble of posting a pic!
  14. I was just wondering how you guys go about painting the factory grill for AMT's '62 Catalina? The part that goes body color, I mean........
  15. Thank you guys for the nice comments! It means a lot...... What I don't understand is that shortly after the real car was completed, the owner only kept it a little while before selling it! Here is a pic of the 1:1 if you guys care to see it.... It is covered in lace pattern, which I was unsure how to replicate...
  16. When we did anything with pastel chalks in art class, we would spray hair spray over it (aerosol, not the spritz kind)... Do you guys think that it would help in this situation?
  17. There is a place here that sells burgers, but instead of lettuce and tomatoes like the chain joints sell, they put cole slaw and chili on them.....
  18. Thank You a bunch, guys.... really means a lot! And I owe a thank you to the member here who told me that using foil to mask was a good idea.....
  19. Actually used BMF to mask this, friend... you just have to make sure to burnish into the door lines as that is where I had the most bleed...
  20. Thanks a bunch for all the nice comments, fellas! When I first saw the real car I knew I had to at least try to do something similar on a model... glad you like it!!
  21. A break for a while!!
  22. Wow! Thanks, guys! It's my first panel job, glad you like it.......
  23. Here is my latest project pretty much finished! I do want to see if I can get the front bumper to fit a little better, but for the most part it's done. Inspiration for this build was a 1:1 called "May Cause Dangerous". Primer, paint, and clear are all Dupli-color.... A BIG Thank You to those who viewed the WIP on this, it really means a lot!!
