  1. There is a place here that sells burgers, but instead of lettuce and tomatoes like the chain joints sell, they put cole slaw and chili on them.....
  2. Thank You a bunch, guys.... really means a lot! And I owe a thank you to the member here who told me that using foil to mask was a good idea.....
  3. Actually used BMF to mask this, friend... you just have to make sure to burnish into the door lines as that is where I had the most bleed...
  4. Thanks a bunch for all the nice comments, fellas! When I first saw the real car I knew I had to at least try to do something similar on a model... glad you like it!!
  5. A break for a while!!
  6. Wow! Thanks, guys! It's my first panel job, glad you like it.......
  7. Here is my latest project pretty much finished! I do want to see if I can get the front bumper to fit a little better, but for the most part it's done. Inspiration for this build was a 1:1 called "May Cause Dangerous". Primer, paint, and clear are all Dupli-color.... A BIG Thank You to those who viewed the WIP on this, it really means a lot!!
  8. A little bit of an update, sorry no pics this time...... I wasn't able to use the Pegasus wheels, which kinda sucks because the real car has the chrome reverse wheels... oh well, guess it wasn't meant to be! I will end up using the Sombrero covers from the Merc kit.... Also, I've cleared and foiled the body and am working on final assembly. If all goes well for the next few days, I may be able to put this thing under glass! Also, I want to thank everyone who followed along on my first panel work! It's not perfect, but I learned a lot......
  9. Thanks a bunch, fellas! I'm gonna take a break from this for a couple days, don't want to get burned out on it......
  10. I think someone slipped him a mickey.......
  11. Well, here it is painted and unmasked! The foil was kinda tough to remove once the blue was applied. I only had a spot or two bleed a little, nothing a little clean-up won't fix. Overall though, for my first panel job, I'm happy with it!
  12. ^^ what do you mean, man? Swiper is cool!
  13. Thought I would show you guys how I'm progressing, and what half a sheet of foil looks like..... still have the passenger side and trunk to do! I hope I'm not just wasting materials, and this thing turns out half-way decent......
  14. Thanks for the kind comments, fellas!
  15. Finally got the supplies needed to mask my panels! Thought I would give you guys a little update, and show you how I plan on masking this thing..... I layed foil around where the outside of the panel would be, drew the line where I wanted to trim with tape, then trimmed the foil using the tape as a guide. Then I just added the scallops..... I still have the rest of the body to do, so wish me luck!
  16. Scotty, man, That store looks amazing! I could spend days there.....
  17. Wow! Thanks for the links, guys! Looks like I have some browsing to do....
  18. I would love, LOVE, to have the complete Led Zeppelin LP collection. Thing is, I would want them to be in new condition, still in their original plastic. Is it possible that their exist an archive of records that haven't been circulated to the public? If I contacted Atlantic Records directly, do you think they could help me?
  19. Cool idea, Rob! Are you going with full wheel covers in the front and steels in the back? Kinda makes the car......
  20. After you copy the code and click in the reply box, hit ctrl v..... Thats how I have to do it, as clicking paste does nothing....
  21. I did a quick search and may have found a hobby shop you could check out. It's called Warehouse 9, located at 814 S. College Rd. I can't find much info on it though so I'm not sure what all they carry....
  22. Thank you, guys for the comments, and for following along... Got the base on the body! Also finished the interior, and the underside is done. The body is painted with Dupli-Color Performance White. After a few days of it curing I will lightly wet sand it, then I can start laying out the panels!
  23. Thank you, Stan! I've got it mapped out in my head how to do the paint job... I just am waiting for some supplies, then I can get started!
  24. Here's a little more progress! Got the chassis rolling and attached to the floor pan. The body is only in filler primer now, still needs a good sanding followed by some regular primer..... then the fun part can begin! If you guys have any comments, questions, or suggestions, feel free to let me know!
  25. Yea, I didnt think that part through when I made the initial post. There was a lot of fighting, name calling, and other such nonsense on the board at the time, and I just wanted to lighten the mood, if you will....
