  1. Thanks a bunch, fellas! I'm gonna take a break from this for a couple days, don't want to get burned out on it......
  2. I think someone slipped him a mickey.......
  3. Well, here it is painted and unmasked! The foil was kinda tough to remove once the blue was applied. I only had a spot or two bleed a little, nothing a little clean-up won't fix. Overall though, for my first panel job, I'm happy with it!
  4. ^^ what do you mean, man? Swiper is cool!
  5. Thought I would show you guys how I'm progressing, and what half a sheet of foil looks like..... still have the passenger side and trunk to do! I hope I'm not just wasting materials, and this thing turns out half-way decent......
  6. Thanks for the kind comments, fellas!
  7. Finally got the supplies needed to mask my panels! Thought I would give you guys a little update, and show you how I plan on masking this thing..... I layed foil around where the outside of the panel would be, drew the line where I wanted to trim with tape, then trimmed the foil using the tape as a guide. Then I just added the scallops..... I still have the rest of the body to do, so wish me luck!
  8. Scotty, man, That store looks amazing! I could spend days there.....
  9. Wow! Thanks for the links, guys! Looks like I have some browsing to do....
  10. I would love, LOVE, to have the complete Led Zeppelin LP collection. Thing is, I would want them to be in new condition, still in their original plastic. Is it possible that their exist an archive of records that haven't been circulated to the public? If I contacted Atlantic Records directly, do you think they could help me?
  11. Cool idea, Rob! Are you going with full wheel covers in the front and steels in the back? Kinda makes the car......
  12. After you copy the code and click in the reply box, hit ctrl v..... Thats how I have to do it, as clicking paste does nothing....
  13. I did a quick search and may have found a hobby shop you could check out. It's called Warehouse 9, located at 814 S. College Rd. I can't find much info on it though so I'm not sure what all they carry....
  14. Thank you, guys for the comments, and for following along... Got the base on the body! Also finished the interior, and the underside is done. The body is painted with Dupli-Color Performance White. After a few days of it curing I will lightly wet sand it, then I can start laying out the panels!
  15. Thank you, Stan! I've got it mapped out in my head how to do the paint job... I just am waiting for some supplies, then I can get started!
  16. Here's a little more progress! Got the chassis rolling and attached to the floor pan. The body is only in filler primer now, still needs a good sanding followed by some regular primer..... then the fun part can begin! If you guys have any comments, questions, or suggestions, feel free to let me know!
  17. Yea, I didnt think that part through when I made the initial post. There was a lot of fighting, name calling, and other such nonsense on the board at the time, and I just wanted to lighten the mood, if you will....
  18. Harry, do you know who Les Claypool is? He's the kooky, somewhat eccentric brains behind Primus. Him and some of his buds started a band called The Frog Brigade. Anyways, on the album "Live Frogs, Set 2" they cover the entire Floyd album Animals. And it's a live recording, not studio!
  19. Finally made some progress on this one! The engine is finished, door panels done, and the dash is nearly complete. The real car has a lace pattern on the dash, but I won't be going that far (mainly because I'm not sure how!) If you guys have any questions or comments, fire away!
  20. Thanks for the comments guys! I have the body in filler primer and have scribed most of the trim for foil. I scribed after the primer so the filler wouldn't fill my grooves. Next is a good sanding followed by some regular primer.... Paul, the 1:1 is pretty sweet! It's still to be seen whether or not I can pull the paint job off.....
  21. Thanks for the interest, friend! This is my first build of this kit. The "May Cause Dangerous" car is a 1:1 that I would like to capture the essence of with this model. Wish me luck! and Thanks again!
  22. I got some stuff started on my Starliner project! Kinda going for the same vibe as the "May Cause Dangerous" Starliner..... Any and all comments are appreciated!
  23. I got this little guy about 8 years ago. Got it for my niece who was a big fan of Dora the Explorer at the time. He's a little faded and worse for wear, may have to get it redone someday.......
  24. Thanks for the responses, guys.... Billy, thats awesome! Thanks for the link.... The real car has lace in the panels, but I won't try that just yet! Baby steps, you know.....
  25. I read somewhere that this car was on E Bay at one time. How would I go about finding the listing for it? I'm sure there would be plenty of pics of what I need reference for.... Thank you for any and all help!
