  1. Great build!
  2. That's lookin good, Raul! I like your idea of tu-toning it yellow.
  3. Were there fit issues with the hood or firewall and if so did they fix them?
  4. Another point is that in many cases side trim is often stainless steel and I think BMF gives a much more accurate "look" than the chrome plated parts. I'm not sure about the '58 Chevy, but the side trim on the '55 was stainless and the chromed parts just don't look quite right in the Revell kit.
  5. Thanks for the tips, guys! I'll be looking for the plastruct stairs, they could also be very useful for other applications.
  6. Great job! Glad you used the six!
  7. Excellent! Great color for a '40.
  8. Has anyone made the side vents or grilles that were on the later 289 Cobras and how did you do it? I'm wondering if there is an appropriate size of Evergreen clapboard siding that could be used vertically. Or cut out the hole and try inserting flat pieces of photo etch "sprue"? Thanks!
  9. I didn't know Ferrari made air compressors........... Way to go Mom!! Good luck, Jon!
  10. I agree with everybody else! Very nice build!
  11. Gregg, I'm curious, some people seem to be assuming you are asking this question as an agent for Stevens Internationall or Dave Burkett. Is that true or could there be another source requesting the information or maybe it's just your own question? My choices: 1925 Model T Ford roadster and coupe 1960 Ford Starliner with custom parts and stock parts 1949 Ford Any '60s Ford pickups 1953 Studebaker Just about any of the annuals (restored to stock where necessary) Thanks for asking!
  12. That's great, Dave! Do you have a photo of the car with a 1/25 car for comparison?
  13. Rik Hoving and Dave Toups have scans/photos from Norm's catalog in their Fotki albums, try these links: http://public.fotki.com/Rikster/model_cars...e/rmcm_catalog/ http://public.fotki.com/davetoups/aftermar...cas_and_miniat/
  14. Does anyone know how the separate Corvette overflow tank used on early 289 Cobras was plumbed? I've got photos of a car and I can see there is a small hose from the top of the radiator to the filler cap neck of the tank, then there is a heater hose-sized hose that goes from what would be the water pump outlet for a heater hose. There is a third hose that is smaller than a heater hose that goes from the tank back to the engine but none of my photos show where it connects. Also can't find it in any of my Cobra reference books (Freidman, etc). The car I photographed was the 53rd Cobra built and is equipped with Weber carburetors. Thanks!
  15. Lookin good! Are the white letter tires painted or decals?
  16. Excellent!!
  17. I had to go with the Ferrari. Great builds as usual!!
  18. That looks great!
  19. Mrs. Raitz: "Curtis, do you know anyting about all of these mangled paint brush handles laying around the house?" Great build, Curt!!
  20. Thanks to Bill Geary for posting the photo post instructions for Chris earlier today. I was also having trouble finding info...
  21. Very nice build, really like the wheels and the stance. I'm gonna have to get one of those bodies from Perry's.........
  22. That's the flareside bed (stepside in GM terms). I would like to see the styleside which is the same as the kit but I'd like the short version for the 117" wheelbase. Without checking the brochure, I think the length was 6 3/4 ft.
