  1. Just finished................................. But of course the finishing touch, and not putting Dunlop or Bridgestone tyre decals on!
  2. The last three pics as it's finished..................

    Buggy

Really wicked Ulf! From me who has built 6 or 7 Manx's. Is it the Empi Imp?
  4. I'm finding, putting builds on forums a bit of a waste of time! There's over 300 views on this build but only about 10 people have actually taken time to comment, the others just haven't bothered. I've got one 2cv van to finish on here and one other must do, and then no more forums.
  5. It's Monday, and more progress........... Front lights, indicators, wipers and bumper.............. Rear lights, doors and a reversing light that can hardly be seen, and nerf bars. The other black painted plastic one shot across the cabin, never to be found again, so a piece of copper wire is suitably bent and stuck on..... Test fit bonnet again.... Side indicator and mud flap...... Petrol cap, passenger door with 'glass' that took a lot of shaving to get in, both of them......
  6. Fantastic GTi Tommo. Yes lets see some pics of the new build!

    Some of my work

This is just what I like to see in modelling, plenty of imagination!
  8. Very nice, I have an unfinished (no decals) Tamiya kit in my display cabinet depicting a Rally Cross car. As a Rally & Race Marshal for nearly 30 years I remember the T16 on the RAC Rally here in the UK.
  9. Yes........neat!
  10. So more pics of todays progress. The clamps did their work to keep the cab and box body square and true............Look no gaps! But when you look in from the top you see exactly how far the roof of the cab has to go inside the box body to make in straight and true.................... Test fitting the body to the chassis.............. Test fitting the roof (I will fix that when the doors are hung, just so I can get my fingers inside to do it) and the bonnet with grille................ Test fitting comes into it's own, this example shows where the nose of the bonnet needs a bit shaving off to fit closer to the front wings.............. More on monday as we are out shopping tomorrow to our one and only local model shop, that's only open on Sundays in December, I wonder why!
  11. Thanks Atmobil, it's turning out to be an interesting build!
  12. Fixing the cab to the rear body...............
  13. Test fitting the box body to the chassis to set the rear ride height...................
  14. Test fitting the roof, it only goes on one way round, front to back. Matching up with the interior mouldings...............
  15. The rear of the body.......................
  16. The front of the body where it fits to the cab. If I'd have realised, the rear fits inside the upside down 'U' shape, and requires quite a bit of sanding/filing on the inner face of the 'U'.
  17. The box body is easily put together..............
  18. The glass is fitted in the sides and rear doors from inside...........
  19. Wow I didn't realise the interest this subject would cause! Today's work, the cab is fitted out...............
  20. OK Tom I'll try and make a good job of it, more pics tomorrow.
  21. Yes Atmobil, French with English decals. I'm trying to find a French Citroen dealership on google so that I can name it on the van!
  22. Although the kit has a small number of decals they depict an English garage, but the kit is left hand drive and all imported 2cv's from Citroen were all right hand drive. So I've printed some french Michelin logo's depicting a tyre dealer, they appear on the sides, all doors, bonnet and roof................ The rear load area interior with spare wheel ..................................................... The cab interior with some stick on carpet from the spares bin.................
  23. So as shown the suspension under load, normal setting and unloaded, with the load area rear suspension hanging lower than the front................
