  1. I have already posted separate pictures on this forum. I'm now wanting to put on here a photobucket folder of pics from a recent VW show in the UK. Each time I try to post (and I have read the process) it tells me the link is incorrect, any help would be appreciated.
  2. Hey TooOld, That's a great looking engine, forget about the minor details because they are! If I could build a VeeDub motor that good I'd be proud! I've help build real ones as we had 5 beetles in the family, but my model engines sometimes lack the necessary detail. I've recently had my Manx kit arrive after having to get one from the US. I've got a new Humbrol Gold Pearl rattle can paint, that has to be over gloss black so undercoat on yesterday, first blow over coat of gloss black today and onwards and upwards. I've bought some resin Fuchs Porsche rims with slicks and wets, that may fit or be just too wide but we'll see. Anyway I'm watching your build with great interest, super job so far.
  3. Yes dingo that would look good but the light pod covers up a lot of the bonnet! But I might do it all the same. Some more pics of todays work, more decalling this time on the windows.... I hope to do some more over the weekend but we have the first of the F1 races in Australia, with the televised practice tomorrow, the qualifying on Saturday and the race on Sunday all on Sky Sports F1 Channel this year. (with a few on live on the BBC 1 channel Freeview) I suppose my local team Red Bull will be there up front somewhere, I also hope that McLaren make a better go of it this year and my other local team Sahara Force India with Hulkenberg and David Coulthard's cousin Paul DiResta have a fighting chance.
  4. I know I should be fitting those brake discs to the back of the wheels, but as I felt brave today I thought I would put the windows in instead. Well I can tell you now that the way these are to fit into the windscreen surrounds from the outside (like a real car)is the best I've seen in a kit. They come in a thin plastic dome like most screens do but with these you cut them out, around the black surround with a new sharp blade. You then drop them into place using your chosen form of adhesive. I had to fit the rear wing over the rear opening before I could fit the screen from below. Now tomorrow I may well fit the dashboard into the bodyshell and get round the fixing those brake discs into the back of those wheels!
  5. Yes it's REAL 'cause I know the guy that built it!
  6. A few more pics....Firstly the Michelin tyre decals, perhaps a bit close to the rims! Next the brake calipers are painted red and fixed to the drilled discs... The decals are finished on the rear of the body.... and ...the floor/chassis is shaved down (sorry a bit out of focus) to allow the pe grill to sit correctly.... The next thing is the fix the discs to the back of the wheels and onto the axles, remembering the larger discs are at the front.
  7. right here we are again.. That was a front view of both seats in. Decals on t'other side..... As all the interior is done, we'll pop in the last piece of the rollcage... That's it so far. As I work in a cabin in the garden I may have to wait a few days to do some more as my son has ordered a replacement alloy wheel for his Golf. So it looks like I'm stuck in doors for a day or so!
  8. Yes more pics.......... The drivers seat is in with belts... Both seats in with belts fixed to the cage.. The roof and bonnet decals done.... more coming along in a minute..............
  9. Yes a few more pics...... The masked off area in Green....... One side decals done... The spare wheel is tied down... wait for it..................
  10. And...you've guessed a few more pics..... The steering and photo-etch pedals The first couple of coats of white.. The sides of the rollcage before the seats go in...... A plasticard section glued in place to stop the rear axle dropping off! And a few more to come...
  11. Some more photies! And a few more to come!
  12. This is the Skoda Fabia S2000 IRC from Provence Miniatures in 1/43rd scale... More later
  13. Hi dingo, just a taste of my new 1/43 Skoda Fabia S2000, I hope this qualifies!
  14. Well Jared, that looks superb, thanks for sharing. It's nice to see one built.
  15. Yes I have one on the shelf, not quite finished, worth every penny! My body shell is in a creamy-beige colour out of the box and I've not painted it!
  16. Yup lower the Taxi, and stick on a set of 20inch rims, great!
  17. I've not seen this one yet in the UK. I build a lot of rallycars, MK1 Escort/Matt Black Subaru '05 Monte Carlo/ just finished and 1/43 Skoda Fabia S2000 resin kit under construction. I look forward to seeing how the Heller Citroen goes together.
  18. Well your very lucky in the USA. I'm in ther UK and can't get hold of one of these and that's all I want, just one. I've looked on ebay USA and seen numerous Manx kits available but when I add up the cost of the kit, the postage and the customs charges, that's more than double the price which is out of the question. I'm told we may get some in March but who knows! Has anyone other than the one already built on here, actually built another?
