  1. This would make sense....take the old Brockways for example...From what I have seen the "buzzin" dozen was up until year 1974...there after...they kind of went to the way side....then the General was in late 76-77 intro...so it was never to happen from the factory to shoehorn a 12-cylinder under the current hood would be a feat...BUT how cool would that sound then??? Kurt
  2. Steve...you're making some good progress, keep it up Kurt
  3. Dave....supercharged. Wanted to keep it plain and simple...using as much as the stock kit parts...but there will be some "twists"...thanks, Kurt non sleeper it will be, thanks, Kurt
  4. Sean....this project is on hold and has been for some time ....I'll get back to it at some point...I wanted to ease back into building with this old vintage build...plus I have another project that will be needing done prior to....Thanks, Kurt
  5. Ben....I am going with the late 70's, early 80's OEM look. Here is a copy of the brochure I bought. Kurt Orange/red for the frame, Silver for the cab/hood..with some Alclad and photo-etch items.
  6. Well...I have been "tinkering" with this on and off for several weeks...making several modifications to the factory kit. I forgot on how bad the "molds" were for this particular kit. Truck is in mock-up mode...I did redo the hood hinges to match OEM factory ones...the ones in the kit..had to go. Everything is aligning properly...Kurt Pictures to follow.. New Fuel tank

  14. Guy's.... After a long break...I decided to do just a simple, straight forward build. This will be a cab and chassis, just like it was just delivered to the dealership...a few "spins" here and there of course...pieces and parts have been ordered. The engine is the stock Detroit, Silver series 8V92. More pictures and progress to come, Enjoy...Kurt

  16. I agree on the spotlight being in the military class....and if there was a scratch built class, I agree on that as well. I've been to alot of shows...I have never seen a scratch built category...Commercial is Commercial, unless it is broken down into "axles" and or light/heavy duty. Kurt
  17. Cool looking rig.... No updates on this build...still sitting on the bench. When the weather starts to turn (cold)..maybe some progress will finally happen Thanks, Kurt
  18. Tim, Spiffy as usual....unique color scheme indeed Kurt
  19. Be patient with Jamie...he is not casting on a full time basis right now...and I know he has been receiving literally "tons" of emails.
