  1. the Z8 has some design quirks. If you glue the rear lower pan on prior to painting you really have to work to get the body over the chassis i remember. The interior has lots of room for detail though which is a plus. That C6 has NO ENGINE at all?? the C5 engine is great. If you got some leftovers to trade you can have my chassis and engine pieces from the C5 if it fits under the 6 body jon
  2. yeah i got it at oreilleys well u can get it about anywhere with an autopaint section. oreilleys seems to have the best selection ive seen. I used it on the Testarossa engine block too. Ford Medium Charcoal Metallic.
  3. Thanks. Its the dark charcoal i picked up. Perfect match from auto parts store. Red and black two tone is nice on these too
  4. that alfa is hot i like that alot. I got some other stuff goin on the 458. I got the wheels on the chassis and did something different with the interior. All the pix i found of the Italias with THESE seats had black interior. And I took some creative license on the seatback.
  5. I got these two on the stoop today. The Z8 I built in HS, but I forgot that it's curbside. Bummer for sure but I'll build it.. And I got the Indy Stealth so now I have two stealth kits.
  6. Tough break on the paint jon. Keep at it, it'll work out. Did more on the 458 Got the wheels on. And doing some basics on interior. 512TR is pissing me off can't get the body to sit on the chassis all the way down.
  7. Can never really go wrong with any of Harry's rides, and that one's no exception. Great build of it, so crisp and pretty. Stance is racy too which helps lol
  8. heck yes thanks man
  9. That's pretty darn cool! Are those the kit tires with the lindberg wheels?? I still don't know where the lindberg tires went.
  10. ahh nice. i'm considering doing a countach one day i might look into the shima version.
  11. E Type Jag is my vote then the Datsun
  12. Thanks, that engine is killer stuff.I like the contrast that's goin on there. I forget is that the Revello Countach or a foreign maker?
  13. Looking good on that Lambo so far. I got some stuff started on the Italia as I had to redo some bodywork on the 512TR.
  14. I bought a kit for myself at retail for the first time in a year and a half.
  15. Thanks and that Alfa is raging. That's awesome stuff After all done the decals should be alright, keep it up!
  16. haha thanks a bunch.. yeah i got the kit open box and partially assembled. Unfortunately whomever did so did not do it according to the instructions. So I had to tight-rope a few areas on the powerplant. On the R34 note, keep in mind the advice i had earlier. lol
  17. I made it a point to record Practices, Qualifying, the GP2 race, and the F1 race from the weekends events at Monaco. I forgot to turn on Indy until about ten minutes before Sato wrecked. I think here Nascar has supplanted the events at Indy, and the split a decade-plus ago sure didn't help matters. It comes down to preference, and what's been around an individual. The race just isn't made out to be a big deal for folks any longer.
  18. cool cool thanks. i'll save the pic n bring it when i go next time
  19. Really? Hmm that looks different than some others i've seen. I really like how that flocking sits in there. I dunno. I'll check that out though, looks killer.
  20. hehe right on both are looking outta control, and the detail and finesse in your shelby off the chart. I'll edit this post... I did a little more on various parts of the car earlier. The pre-assembly aspect made it a real pain in the behind at times.
  21. ###### thats lookin super. What did u use for the carpeting?
  22. Thats some nice work goin on. That GTR is sexy for sure. Just be careful on the evo of the "I think it needs one more coat" curse lol.
  23. Thanks Jon, just got back from the local hardware store. They have overpriced kits and and testors paints. Ima do the heads red today as well as finish up the interior tub. Yesterday I also cut my right thumb Today got the engine detailed with some other parts painted
  24. no problemo! and the colour on the assembly there is Perfect Match Ford Medium Charcoal Metallic. Once it dries its not sparkly like the name might suggest which is good for this sort of thing. The side covers need to be red but my flat red in the jar is dried up. I'm not sure if it will be seen once the body is on either so i'll keep you posted on that decision. I also used perfect match Hyundai Light Slate Metallic on this suspension assembly. And I masked up the doors and got some semigloss laid down. The rest will be Painters Touch "Fossil".
  25. Lookin' good Jon, you really are doin some slick stuff lately. As for me I decided to crank out this Ferrari 512 I picked up at the swap meet a few weekends back. This one was partially started so I decided to lay some spray to the engine assembly first. Once this is dry I'll get in with a brush for some diff colored bits, and the axle there.
