  1. Definitely a good update. All the work has paid off
  2. Love the results Tim. Love it.
  3. Definitely looking forward to more on this....because we know what you're capable of
  4. Tim - thanks. I tested 3 different reds and picked this one based on pics I took of the car, which I hear has been sold to a collector. Chris - I am looking forward to getting more done too. With all the rain we're getting now, I won't be doing much painting though. John - Thanks for looking. With help from Tim and you on this, I can't go wrong.
  5. Thomas, it is a metallic burgundy. I've taken quite a few photos of it at his barn. I'm sorry I can't help you with the correct paint to use.I'm sending you a PM
  6. I love where this is going. Can't wait for more. My stupid question - the '39 Wagon Rod is what ? Ford?
  7. Tim, I just saw these recent comments from the guys and want to echo their words. I feel very honored to have seen it in person.
  8. A little update - I have the frame painted, most of the engine painted, the front lower plate that was attached to the seat painted aluminum and installed, the rear shelf painted aluminum, the interior tin needs a little more work and then a final primer coat. http://s1311.photobucket.com/user/56ChevKRy/media/USA-1 Tribute car model/DSCF0164_zpsdqovsbdk.jpg.html http://s1311.photobucket.com/user/56ChevKRy/media/USA-1 Tribute car model/DSCF0158_zpsoyiszskc.jpg.html Obviously one photo is before the painting. I just ordered a different rear diff from VCG Resins which I hope will more closely match the 1:1 rear. Thanks for looking . Well, I was hoping the images would be there instead of links.
  9. Looks great Tim. I like the stance and the wheels.
  10. Guys, this project has been dusted off and I'm making progress. The frame is painted, the engine had to be altered to fit inside the body, the tinwork is looking better and a puke tank made by Tim Hoagland is waiting to be installed. I will post pics soon. Thanks for looking.
  11. Tim, fluorescent yellow line. A great idea. Great results.
  12. Looks really good. Hoping to see more soon.
  13. Chris, outstanding results. I love it. I hesitated to post pics of my Wild Willie car a couple years ago because I know the flaws are many, but I know you guys are understanding and willing to help. But seeing results that you and the other masters do has helped me a lot. Now I can't wait to finish that build and post it. I look forward to seeing more of this great Vega FC and having you come East for a couple contests so we can meet.
  14. Yes, great stance. What color will it be?
  15. A great start. One of my favorites cars.
  16. Thanks for posting pics of the show. Looks like it was a great time. Wish I could have been there. Congrats to the winners.
  17. Great progress so far Tim. I'm looking forward to more.
  18. A great distraction/teaser to keep us glued to the Codi channel....more, more
  19. It always amazes me that you and the other top builders can fabricate tiny pieces AND connect them so they are parallel, perpendicular, or however they need to be so that they are correct. Wow.
