  1. I used the Testors Grabber Orange on my fictitious Wild Willie Olds FC, which I need to finish. I think the color is very close to what is seen in the Drag Racing magazine pic that someone already uploaded. Wish I could have seen him race.
  2. Your mastery of tools, imagination, and materials results in WOWing us all the time. Hope to see you at Bruce Larson's Drag Fest on the 14th.
  3. Stunning work as usual John. The engine really looks like it will start.
  4. Today I had the extreme pleasure of seeing this in person. Mind blowing, wow, whatever adjectives you can muster are inadequete. My brain is still reeling from looking at it and gaining great tips from Tim. He answered all my stupid questions and showed me other completed builds. His work area is fully stocked and ready to handle anything his imagination wants to do. Thanks again Tim for your generous time and sharing.
  5. Just got caught up on this John. Amazing, superb, love it.
  6. I had to start at p39 to catch up on this monumental build. The first thing that hit me when I saw the mock-up was the time involved. Wow. And then the following photos........just........Wow. We are fortunate to have the skilled artists on this forum that we have.
  7. Dave, you never disappoint. Awesome work. I didn't have a chance to go to the Gilbertsville show. I assume you were there?
  8. Another great start John. Looking forward to tire smoke on the bench.
  9. Tim, amazing, amazing work. Your detail leaves me speechless. Looking forward to more.......
  10. John, you do such great work. This build is looking great.
  11. With your attention to detail and getting things laid out beforehand, I'm sure it will turn out great. Looking forward to more....
  12. Excellent job. How did you paint the rivets on the windows?
  13. Awesome results again and again. Looking forward to more and more.
  14. Ok, trying again..... Comments welcome.
  15. Well almost a year later....I have mocked up the rear end, and worked on the stance. I need to raise the rear a bit, but making some progress. (and having trouble posting pics)
  16. Looks really good. Your kitbashing skills are working well.
  17. Here's a shot I took of Phil's car at Utica-Rome drag strip. Like I said before, the negs got damaged and I scanned it anyway, hoping to fix it in Photoshop. Also a pic of the car I found on the web.
  18. What a great pic !! Chris - your extra hard work is still paying off. Looking forward to more........
  19. Tim, can't you see they're off by a millionth of an inch? You're going to have to send them to me for disposal and start over. Ha. You do exquisite work.
  20. The very first funny car I saw run a drag strip was Phil Castronovo's Dodge Charger in the late 60s or early 70s at the Utica-Rome 1/8 mile strip. I was hooked right then. The photos I took in the pits got loaned to someone and never returned. My negs got damaged but I have great memories. Your build looks really good.
  21. Looking forward to more of this ....
  22. Looks good so far. I hope you're putting an engine like that in your build.
  23. I definitely like this build, and I agree that the color choice is great.
  24. This is inspiring me to finish my funny car. Thanks Tim for showing and teaching.
  25. The guys at Worm Inc., Grantville, PA might be of help. They have built a couple nostalgia funny cars and I think they did one of this car. Their number is 717-469-9676.
