Guys, I've made some progress on this funny car lately and will post pics soon. I have the seat installed, the brake lever and most of the harness done too. Inspiration came from seeing all the great builds on here and going to Bruce's Dragfest back in November. And thanks to Tim for his guidance.
Superlative, awesome work. Love seeing these updates and thank you for letting me visit the Den of Fantastic Automotive Art again and showing me how to make coilovers and answering my questions. Your work and enthusiasm is contagious.
Love these updates Chris. So much to see and learn. Love it. This is a build that needs to be stored on a dvd for future use. Some day hope to see it in person.
John, WOW it looks great. I agree with people that say they can't wait to see it done, but we also REALLY enjoy watching all the posts along the way. Love your work buddy.
Tim you've ruined a lot of jaws on here. We have callouses on them from hitting the floor. I had to put a pillow on the floor in front of my chair. Outstanding work on the pulleys and clamps.
Tim the headers look great. It was great to see your reaction to some of the cars at Dragfest and how you look for details on the 1:1 cars. It's obvious you were absorbing information to pour into the builds we see on here. It was a great show and seeing Garlits and Larson together.....legends. And to Joe - that Sidewinder is wild looking. I can't imagine driving that thing. Very short wheelbase. I feel blessed to be able to learn from the guys on here and to be able to go to shows like Bruce's Dragfest. Can't wait to see more Tim.
CHRIS - John is right. You can tell that you put a lot of work into it. I'm definitely no expert but the plumbing looks ON. Things are parallel and perpendicular where they need to be. If this build had been on display at Bruce Larson's Dragfest this past saturday, it would have garnered a LOT of attention. Can't wait for more.
