  1. Looks great Niko. The straps painted on the fuel tank show you have a very steady hand.
  2. The Mad Science FC looks great. Is that a kit or did you use aftermarket decals? Also can't wait to see what you do with that monster body of a Firebird FC. Who made the body?
  3. Brett's right. I can only speak for myself, but I'm sure plenty of us take in what you do and try to apply these techniques to our builds. I have learned to study photos of the 1:1 cars to better replicate the real thing in small scale, but I have a lot to learn.
  4. Chris - after seeing your work on the supports of the Vega FC, I think I'll send this to you to finish.
  5. "not much to look at" he says.................c'mon, it's beautiful.
  6. A great job. Really nice clean finish.
  7. Thanks Niko. I appreciate that. I always enjoy following your builds. Last night I got the fuel pumps on, the bell housing shroud, and started adding the fuel pumps' control cables. I'll post pics later.
  8. Awesome work Chris. Also can't wait to see your shift knob/avatar painted.
  9. Everything looks great Niko. Good choice getting four pair of tires, your friend did a good casting job.
  10. Excellent work Roger. Looking forward to more.
  11. You're right Bill, it's exciting seeing it come together and knowing that the next project can be better based on what I've learned. Thanks John, but actually it's 1/4 scale and then shrunk in the microwave. HA. Ted before I put those wires on I double-checked my photos to make sure. Those tiny RB Motion nuts are very easy to lose. Thanks guys for the encouragement.
  12. The paint and decals look awesome John. Inspiring.
  13. I got some more work done that includes a clutch pedal, engine installed, oil lines attached, wires from coils to magnetos and some detail painting. Thanks for looking.
  14. I'll try doubling them up. If I try scratch building something that small, it will end up looking like I used a chainsaw. I am making progress but don't think it will be done for the NNL East.
  15. Excellent job. What scale are they?
  16. Love the Mickey Thompson funny car.
  17. Tyrone - excellent job and I really like the color scheme.
  18. Excellent progress John. Wish I could see them in person.
  19. Looks awesome Chris. I'm sure you feel really good about this chapter being done.
  20. Also had to shorten the section that attaches the pumps to the front of the engine because of a conflict with the oil filters. I don't know a lot about photoetch, but is it possible to create thicker pieces for linkage so it looks more realistic? Thanks for looking.
  21. Got some linkage detail on today. And got the right side barrel valve on.
