  1. Anytime fellas. Always glad to help. Got my color this morning. Going to try out Krylons Dual Paint + Primer Gloss in Cherry Red. Got a small update coming sometime today.
  2. Thanks. I'm pretty seat on the 2nd set as well. First ones just don't capture the car the way I want too. As far as the scoop goes, think it might end up red with the rest of the car. I've got a Hemi decal I want to place on it.
  3. Anytime.
  4. Here's how I use sewing thread for my interior. Materials needed: -Tape -Super Glue -Needle or Small Wire (Needs to be relatively stiff) -Thread (Size thread I use is 40WT) -XActo Knife 1) Start by gathering your materials. 2) Next lay down a piece of tap and squeeze a tiny amount of Super Glue on to the tape. 3) Using the needle or small piece of wire, lightly dip the end in the super glue. Place a dab of glue where you want to start your thread. I always try to find a place the is less noticeable as sometimes the thread can flare. In this case, it was the crack between the top and bottom of the seat. 4) Next place another dab of super glue along the interior line and follow with the thread. You may have to use multiple dabs when going around curves. Repeat until you have completed the interior line. 5) BE CREATIVE!! The most important thing I can say about using thread is take your time. If you find that it's frustrating you, put it down and walk away. Hope this helps. If anyone has any questions or needs further explains, send me a message or comment here. I'll help in anyway possible.
  5. Will have one up today.
  6. It's really easy and a really cheap way to heighten your interior. Sewing thread and a needle. Use the needle to place a small amount of superglue where ever you want to start your line, then just repeat the process following seat lines. Also looks good on Dash Boards and door panels. Plus the good thing about thread is the color choices. If you need some pictures or a simple how-to, I can throw one up tomorrow.
  7. It's sewing thread.
  8. Thanks for the comments fella's. Here's a small update. Should be picking up my color tomorrow, looking at a Cherry Red or along those lines. Here's the stock 440 V8. Will be placed on the engine stand for display. Finally tried my hand at Spark Plug Wire Looms. Accidently skipped my front looms. Hood Set-Up. White area will be main body color. Still needs some touching up. Hood Top View. Think I may have my wheels to use. Will see once I get my color on. Also got a start on the interior.
  9. Just some phone wire. 32 gauge wire fits it the boots perfectly. It's snug enough so it doesn't pull out but still allows you to make this small adjustments and never committing to glueing them in place.
  10. Working on a 1968 Dodge Charger R/T (Revell Special Edition). Excited for this build as I have heard great things about the kit going together well. Here's a small "Start-Up" post. Here's an early Mock-Up of the charger. Not dead set on the wheels. Feel like they are too modern or flashy for a street runner. Started working on the valve covers. Valve Covers 01 Engine Stand (I was excited to build it. )
  11. I could make it work... I limit myself extremely to the tools I buy/use simply to conserve space. I also build models as I get them. No chance I will ever start a stash. To give you an idea, I often carry my tools with me from home to work in 2 clear tackle boxes. The only tools/ materials that don't move with me is my air compressor (even though it is portable) and my work table at work. When I bring my models home, it usually to only sand or final assembly. For me, too much space causes too many problems.
  12. I have been able to get online for the PS3 a little bit as well. My PSN in ToBContinued08 if anyone wants to play together. I really like this game. Def. better than GTA 4. Boredom is not an option in this game. So much today I often find myself side-tracked...
  13. Thanks for the comments guys. I really couldn't find anything that was seriously wrong with the kit. Parts fit together nicely other than the rear bumper meeting the body. There is a small gap on the sides.
  14. Finally got to work on some models. Seems like forever since I last posted or even been on the forums. I've heard some mixed reviews about the 360 Modena kit (mostly bad). I'm fairly happy with the kit itself. All though it only came with 69 pieces, it was still an enjoyable build, and to me thats all that matters. Not much time was really spent on this model. Since I had a 2 month break in building, I just wanted something done. Nothing special. Out of the box besides the side mirrors. I felt the stock ones were too big in comparison to the body so I scratched up my own. Model Kit Info: - Revell Ferrari 360 Modena Spider - 69 Pieces; Skill Level 2 - Exterior Color: Rust-O-Leum Real Orange Double Coverage
  15. Also, by laying on your paint too quick, it can cause a bubble effect under the most recent coat. This is due to the paint not completely "gassing" out so it will push through the top layer. Best way to ruin paint.
  16. Cool info... Thanks for that Art. I haven't started on the body yet, I'm still racking my brain to find the best way to remove injection lines and such.
  17. Would I need to put on the decals before dipping the car in future?
  18. Okay guys. Needing some help on this one. I bought a Polar Lights Mr. Norm's Ghost Charger off of Ebay. When I was looking at my parts, I noticed some serious mold lines and injection circles on the underside of the clear body. What would be the best way to remove the eyesores without scratching the heck out of the plastic? I was considering 1000 grit and then work with 2000 grit. But figured it would be best to ask first.
  19. Ramen gives me that "Japanese Mind Set"... lol... Thanks for the comments folks.
  20. Well... This build along with my 2 others are moving extremely slow. I'm still gathering my items to begin airbrushing. In the midst of my work week, school started for my better half (so she says ), and extreme tiredness, I was able to work on it a little bit. Of course maybe I should have left it alone. Reason I say this is because I ended having 3 of the 4 springs go flying to the great beyond. So I was faced with a decision. Do I make my own replacement springs or go with a street version with mild decals. After several hours of research and thinking, I decided to go with a Street Tuner path. Here's the wheel stance and window trim painted.
  21. Picked me up a 2006 Ford F-650 1:24 Diecast. Needs some TLC. Mirrors have been broken off and some parts are loose. Hot Wheels Whips 360 Modena (1:18 Scale Diecast) that needs to be stripped and repainted. You can see the plastic marking on top of the paint that holds and doors, hood, trunk shut. And got my Polar Lights Ghost Charger from Ebay as well.
  22. I agree... It just sets up a little high for my taste.
  23. I now have a rolling chassis. First picture is normal height and the second picture is of the suspension being pressed down. I really considered removing the springs and lowering the model but thought I would leave it as is.
  24. Aoshima 1999 Nissan Silvia S15 Kei Office D1 Grand Prix. Here's the build thread for it. I am looking into the Vertex version though. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=78576
  25. YEAH BUDDY!! She's a beauty! I'm working on a 99' S15 at the moment. Guess an S13 is next in line.
