  1. Back ~'90 a Friend and I went for a ride from the South SF Bay area to Alices Resturant in Skylonda for breakfast then a ride down to the Coast, left to Hwy 9 and Home again. He brought along his 12 year old son so we stopped in Bolder Creek for an Ice Cream Cone before returning home. While sitting on the Bench a guy with his <guessing> Girlfriend were headed towards us on Hwy 9 in heavy traffic. It was commented that that guy wasn't very bright wearing just Blue Jeans. No Shirt and not even Shoes and it looked like Girlfriend had settled for shorts. As it turned out, all she was wearing was a Smile (and a big one at that). I thought friends son was going to drop his Ice Cream!
  2. Who needs Mirrors with a Paint Job like That!! Excellent Job Jeff.
  3. Thanks Ray. Wonder what's goin' on at PB? My area of interest is in the Injector Stacks and Exhaust System. I've got several Union 330 P4 Kits and wondered how they compare.
  4. Looks Good! Do you happen to have any Before Shots?
  5. Now That'll made one's day! Hey Ray, any chance of getting a Pic of the Intake Exhaust Parts? And I do understand it's Curbside. Just wondering what they look like.
  6. Michael, Great Build and Conversion. Given the Strombergs, to me you've built an Orginal Southern California Dry Lakes Racer.
  7. Dang John, That sure came out Great!
  8. Christopher, That Looks like it came out REALLY Nice! Well Done.
  9. For those that Do want to live in an old Gas Station there's one for sale just north of Sunsites, Az that was converted in to a House already that I'd bet would go for not much at all.
  10. Love those old Warbirds. But like Mike said too Bad the Pilot didn't live to see or even hear about his Birds recovery.
  11. I shoulda stoodup, 'cause that one went over my head. Once mentioned it hit me like the Cheer the Cheer Leaders in M*A*S*H* used ......
  12. Terry, You've got really nice looking Paint and Trim, with a nicely detailed Interior. As to the Stance, well you covered that by stating looks like the engine is out and the Rearview mirror missing well that's no problem, because you've got it on order from Year One while you're working on the Engine
  13. Hard to find problems with this Build! Excellent Job Eric, and the Photography adds to the enjoyment of viewing your Workmanship.
  14. Hi there Eddie, and Welcome. Hummm, "Everyone using Airguns"........ Well I have a Beeman R7 but I really don't think the result'd very good on a Kit interior..........
  15. With the Pigment Ink, do you sitll need to clear coat prior to dunking into the water to apply?
  16. Hi There Mike, Welcome. Lookin' forward to seeing your builds.
  17. Hi Mike. I've got the same printer and am wondering if after drying is there and problem with running with the water or clear coating? And have you tried printing on Testors Decal Paper??
  18. Seems to me when it comes to Racers (other than classes where Production based bodies are required) Porsche has never been tied to a Look. And just who were the 914's, 924's and 944's Daddys?
  19. I do like that Tune Carl, but couldn't have named who did it. Funny, I Googled Bryan Adams, and he was 10 years Old in the Summer of '69.
  20. I'm guessin' it's from Revell's Ed Roth Beatnick Bandit.
  21. Another option could have been given the Common Drive Gear was mounted to the Boiler/Firebox "Tank" it could have been a way to reduce/eliminate flex of the Common Gear's shaft.
  22. Dang Rich ya bet me to 1/2 of what I thought on seeing it. My thought was Jetson's meet Laurel and Hardy.
  23. Donn, I've no doubt there'll be no regrets, and in the next week or so you ought to be gettin' a Check fron S.E. Arizona. I taught Electronics Assenbly back in the late '70's (Soldering, Wire Harness Assembly, which included Lacing to Mil Spec., Component ID etc.) and Semi Conductor Wafer Fab, mainly Die attachment and Wire Bonding. And there wasn't a Class that pased that I didn't learn more than the Students! Almost always as the result of a question where I when "Huh??" and had to think way through someting or other I never worried about before the question.
  24. Think I'll toss in Joni Mitchell. Maybe not Rock n Roll, but an Icon of the Era none the less.
