I really don't go out to eat very often and I'd be suprised if one of'em open near to us anytime soon. Besides just why leave home when the view from the backyard can provide this view And even my Wife who likes traveling admits the Food here is Better than most of what she eats while traveling. Last night we had something like this which was topped with fresh chopped Basil The there's my Hickory Smoked for an hour then Grilled Chicken Either washed down with a choice from here I also cook Asian including Thai/Vietnamese (Ish) Southwest and yep I do Slow Smoke Ribs Pork Butt n Brisket. But if I find myself up in Tempe that Beef Sausage dose sound good!

Little Mini Monster
Crazy Ed replied to Dann Tier's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
I've gotta admit that a Mini Cooper is just about the Last Vehicle I expected to see as a "Monster", Well Done!! -
Seems to me there are still plenty of the AM kits floating around unbuilt, Corvette and McLaren M8B's alike to fill the needs of builders for a while at least. I think the rush to the Revell release was inpart a belief that it was a New Tool Kit as I recall several dissapointed reviews that it was simply a rebox.

What did you see on the road today?
Crazy Ed replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I couldn't get my Camera up quick enough but I saw a Tempe Arizona Pickup twice today. Once less than 2 miles from my House as we were on our way to go Shopping and later on our way home after exiting I-10. We live ~3 hours from Tempe............. -
Tom, I have ~10X the area I mow but I only do it 2 times a year. Mid - Late Sept and late May - Mid June. As to cleaning up Leaves there's only one Tree that's within the small area I'd worry about leaves and 90% of them fall outside of the area I care about. Next year I maybe planting a couple of Prickly Ash Trees for their Seeds (great for Cooking!), but other wise If it needs watering it ain't happening until I get the recovery system back up and running.

The 80 East Exit takes you to where we'll be tomorrow when we go Shopping.

I guess the Stage Coach didn't get mine this trip. So it'll be Friday before either of us wander into "town" again. FWIW I've never had a problem with the condition of mine, and it's stuffed into a P.O. Box.

Thanks Nick I've no idea what 3/4 of the Birds I see are. As too Leaf Blowers, when I was a Kid we had the series One type. I grew up in SoCal and we had a Really Tall Sycamore Tree that seemed to drop all of it's leaves within a week and would cover the lawn in 6 - 12" of leaves that I NEVER needed to pick up! I'd rake them to the curb and within 2 days a Santa Ana wind would blow the 4' pile to the empty lot across the street.

Always nice to bring enjoyment to others. It looks like I'll be adding the Moon/Jupiter and Moon/Venus pictures Friday and Saturday if the Weather Critters are right. Yesterday I went down to my favorite Winter Picture taking place to see if my Winter "Friends" had made it back. Yep the Migration is On. The Sandhill Cranes are very high on my list of what I most enjoy taking pictures of.

Not a Cloud In the Sky nor a bit of a Breeze for this Mornings Planet gathering. Friday the Moon will be next to Jupiter then on Saturday Venus. Clouds, Camera and Picture Taker willing Pics will be forthcoming.

Nice Shot there Clayton. Were it not for that place being just off a Road it'd be the perfect location with the addition of 5 things, Briquettes, a Grill, Burgers Beer and Friends. -
Greg I've enjoyed smelling Coffee Roasting a couple of times, but 600lbs at a time just might a tad much for me. It'd almost be like when I worked in a Doughnut Shop. It was 20 years before I ate another Doughnut.

Glad you got to see what's going on out there Peter and happy you got to enjoy the scene.

Looks like you've gotten past the Orange Peel problem. Lookin' good Pat. Also like the Popsicle fence and wall.

Great automotive journalism... guess chevy wins
Crazy Ed replied to mk11's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
After reading the article it sure seems like he was fishing for reactions, and given the listed comments he got 'em. Kinda like one sayin' I like @ and * sucks. Seems anymore it's all about hit count not content. -
You sure stuffed loads of subtle detail into a relativity simple kit Mark. Nice!
-
Sorry you missed seeing it Carl, but there's 3 more chances to see interesting changes. On the 2nd and 3rd of Nov. Venus will be next to Mars. Then on the 6th the Moon will be next to Jupiter and on the 7th Venus.

The Clouds parted for the Morning Planet Pic. Compare this to the one from Sunday.

The rotary breaths again.
Crazy Ed replied to rusty85's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Really Pretty car. Kinda makes me think of 60's Cheetah meets XK-E. But were I to bring back the Rotary it'd be as a Mid Engine, Devil may care all out Super Car that takes full advantage of the Wankel's light weight per HP. MPG - WHO Cares. Put something on the road that makes the likes of Ferrari and McLaren yell "What The Heck Just Happened"!. THEN come out with a "normal" Sports Car.
