Montana is the location of Ted Turner's ranch.

I think it's aliens disguised as drones. EDIT: And the gubmint knows and is complicit, making everyone think they're really gubmint craft, as everyone in gubmint is lizard creatures anyway, like Mr. Faceborg. Cue X-Files music.

Recommendations For Iphone Photography?

My old 4 MP Nikon doesn't. I'm an old film photographer, and I made part of my living as one for a while, including developing and printing my own work. Color films were selected depending on the light source temperature, as in "daylight" and "incandescent". My little old obsolete Nikon behaves the same way as an old film camera, loaded with "daylight" film. Soft white renders distinctly yellow. I've posted many photos in the past where the color balance was way too yellow-warm, before I adjusted my light source to compensate. There are many ways to get good results for web photos. -
Boothe Lake in Yosemite Nat. Park is worth a visit if you like the outdoors.

Nice clean build, and nice collection of diggers too. Is the Attempt an early issue? I seem to remember those narrow tread front tires were replaced by wider Pirellis in later issues.

I agree, and if I wasn't still working, I'd be a little ball of uselessness living on pain meds. It's really not all that bad, as I can still do most of what I've always done. It just takes longer every morning to get functional...and a handful of ibuprofen.

The Franklin Mint 1949 Buick Roadmaster Convertible

Yes indeed, beautiful model. One of those would sure make a nice daily driver. -
Man, that is nice. In other news, I mailed out the last of my Christmas presents, so they're all in the hands of the fine folks at USPS. Everything went priority, so there should be plenty of time...

Mounts for the engine on the '66 Chevelle I'm finishing up were welded in about 1.5" too high AND too far forward, because the highly-paid chimp who built the custom frame didn't actually measure anything, made the front frame rails too close together, so had to wonkify the engine placement to make room for headers.

Largely the story of my life last few years, as is chronic pain lately. Wait...I thought I was retired.

Mount (of the engine kind) failures were getting to be fairly common on one particular model of US car quite some time back, and the shadetree "fix" was to bolt a piece of chain between the head and the frame, so that in the event of mount separation, the engine wouldn't torque over and jam the throttle wide open.

Need to clean house/bulk sale?

Probably the best way to let a potential trader (or buyer) get a quick idea of what's there without having to sort through it all, counting wheel sets, etc. -
Dents won't be of much concern when the body mounts rust off (like the bumper supports) and you're dragging the rockers on the road.

This really isn't a great video, with the poor editing typical of so much car stuff on YT (cars don't match the idiot computer-read voiceover, a fair bit of wrong info, etc.), but there are some great shots of the things in action etc. Definitely a good resource for anyone building one, or who just loves to look at them...like me. EDIT: YT apparently doesn't allow this one to embed, so you'll have to work a little harder and click the link. Oh, the humanity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPenH_CSmog&ab_channel=SUVBeyond‧93Kviews‧21minutesago

Undercarriage bits and the operation thereof are often not fully understood or correctly represented by modelers of all kinds of stuff.

Mentioning the cheesy horror movies of the '30s is fine, but under the rules of the game, the line needs to start with "mentioning".

Recommendations For Iphone Photography?

Yup, you're right. The "warm" whites render distinctly yellowish when photographed if not offset by at least one "daylight" bulb. I know this (as is apparent from the neutral color balance of my photos). I typed it backwards. Thanks for the correction. It IS important to post accurate and correct information. -

Just a reminder...lighting doesn't have to be expensive either. My photos above were shot with this cheapo setup. CORRECTION: The swing-arm lamps I got at Goodwill for $5 each. They are rated for only 60 watt bulbs (any more will destroy the switches), but because a 100 watt comparable-light LED only takes about 7 watts, I installed those. LED bulbs come in soft white and daylight-balanced color temperatures, so you can mix and match bulbs to suit the kind of light you prefer. I use two soft whites (which are more blue yellow) and one daylight (more yellow blue). It's very bright, like I said, and you can put the light exactly where you need it. The actual light falling on the desk would take 300 watts using incandescent bulbs, but only 21 watts using LED bulbs, so it saves on your power bill too, doesn't dump waste heat into the house...and the switches in the swingarm lamps last forever because of the low current draw. -
Expertise comes from actually doing something over a prolonged period of time, rather than watching videos on yootoob, or reading through a bunch of unfounded, often mindlessly rebleated opinions posted by people who have no successful and demonstrable first-hand experience.
