  1. What I like'd the most about my new Camio truck was the fact it was mold'd in yellow, and inside the cab roof was marked 1955 chevrolet, and the interior tub was mark'd 1957 Chevrolet , and felt as brittle as a leaf, but I'm gonna tray and work it anyway, as this will be only my 2nd truck build ever.....
  2. That's awesome, soon as I get settled into my new place I'm gonna make me a few. An G Holding, go check out the link, it shows using ear plugs up against the glass, in place of the tack.
  3. I have found using Acid core solder will be a mess, as the acid will eventually leak too, and we all know what that does, to prevent flux core solder from leaking, I have used, a small needle and hot water to hollow the solder out some, then placed super glue inside the tube a drop at a time, till it it fills, that work's good, but I dunno for how long, been about 2 months now, still waiting to see the leaks, but I would not suggest using acid core, for your headers, The velocity stacks, now I never thought of using a screw, an a vice, as all mine have to be 5/16" base, that's a great idea, gonna give that a shot, for sure.....
  4. Phase 1 done, a lil rough, but now on to the fun stuff, if your wondering about the wedge cut at the front, where the grill would fit, it's cut like that to angle the grill towards the ground, it now has a 6 scale inch sectioning, just got to fill it all in with plastic strips, so before you guys go on about the gaps, were just starting phase 2....
  5. New Idea. Ok by what i can figure this van is 21' in scale, without bumpers, just over a 1/4' longer then a '98 Dodge Quad cab, long bed truck, which I have been told is 20-3/4' long., any comments on this?
  6. OK, a Mock up. we took out the bogus 6', it actually came out to a 3' scale extension, so, we have this, but I'm thinking it needs to be longer, tell what you think. Mild Insane:
  7. OK, another inspired by a song, thanks Dio for the song, and the inspiration, an the memories..... This gonna be a wild one folks, yes it is, yea I know got allot of things in the fire, ok we made our first cut, and are going to added, 6' scale feet, oh there will be more just have to stay tuned. Very disappointing, this is the Dirty Donny Vantasy, a stock '75 Chevy cargo van, with very lil to none in custom options, except the decals, so if your looking to get this kit, unless you want to build it stock, your gonna need a full kustom doner van for any good parts, but I will win this....
  8. OH yea, another in the fire, take a long last look at this, and let your imaginations fly, I don't think you will expect what I'm about to do, I did exhaustive research on the net, to look at every Rivie I could find, and have come up with my own plan, we all know this will be lower'd with a mild rake, smooth'd, kolor will be Kustom Kolor Purple Passion, with an off white, and purple interior, that's what I'm sure about, oh, and of course there's gonna be some saw action too, thinking of opening this too, we will see when we see,
  9. Guy over in the U.K. is already on it, been looking up parts for him.
  10. Don't sweat it Dimebolt, some people just havn't put 2 + 2 together. an come up with 4, LOL.....
  11. OK! no I couldn't leave it alone, I know this looks a lil rough, but here is the begining of the fender flairs, yea I just had to do it, once done you will see the difference in mock up, should be done in a few days:
  12. Now that's different, good going, nice work....
  13. Quick silver, street fighter, bad actor, all in the same, tho i dont remeber which had the window on top like yours, but this looks like a good project...
  14. If you can find a way to BMC, Brians Model Cars, tutorials, there is a post on how, and what, to build your own side pipes, if not, pm me and i will send the stuff right to you, thru email as attachments, lemme know....
  15. I would suggest doing the block as one piece, then do each part on it's own....
  16. West Coast Customs, you can direct feed from net fix, to your tv...
  17. Kewl, saw it, and the first thing I thought of was the movie call'd Creepers Jeepers 2, nice work.....
  18. That looks kewl, not to mirrorrie, (is that a word?) I'm gonna try the Mother's chrome polish when I get the money, and I have a set of wheels, I can try the gloss black trick on, I cant find the spoons dang it....
  19. Wasn't gonna do this, but what the heck, this just started out as an idea, now it's just getting fully blown out, hope you guys will enjoy this as mush as I'm having fun doing it, still a long way to go, but what the heck: DOING THE MATH FOR A 6" SCALE SECTION: HERE YOU CAN SEE THE DIFFERENCE, FROM SIDE TO SIDE: ONE SIDE DONE: MATH DONE, CUT MADE, 6" WEDGE CHOP:
  20. Got this, and yes It's already under the saw:
  21. Well I guess I will post a lil of the Express, as I'm still just farting around with it, and I got time to kill, so why not kill it here:
  22. OK, so I'm sitting here eating some chicken, nuke'd of course, so, I thought, I would share the new Kolor of Tainted Love, now I didnt have enough sherry, errr I mean cherry, to go around, so I used Garnett Red over the black base, well here she is, I will take that tape ridge down before the clear of course, oh and all Dupli-Color:
  23. Well here she is guys, last coat of primer, I hope, should have kolor on her by morning, new cowl looks good to me, what ya'll think?
  24. OK, guess I could bore you all, with some real nice primer shots, but I wont waste my time, here is just a side shot, so's you believe she is back:
  25. Wow have I been in a slump, a bad one too, anyway, got Tainted Love back up and going, buy putting a new cowl on her, just doing the fill in work, and the smoothing, then on to primer and paint, but this time I'm thinking I might just go 2 tone, hmmmmmmm:
