What would YOU like to see as a model
Eric Macleod replied to JeroenM3's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I would buy 10 of these! -

I too have bought at least one of each. I keep hoping they will scale up the Packard and Mercedes 770 kits to 1:24. We can dream, right? -
Airfix Bentley Blower in 1/12

Ooo La La. I like it. I built one of these as a teenager and did a mediocre job. Always wanted to take another crack at it, but haven't mustered the courage. Yours is truly inspiring. -

Really cool. I like it a lot. -

Agreed. Looks great. Where did you get the goodies to build this one? -
Great model with very believable weathering. I come from a "taxi city" and live these things, even when they are not Checkers! Well done.

Really great model. These must be the earliest models on the forum.

I am 99% of the way done with this 4 year project. I still have some door handles to install and some fiddling with interior pieces of the Coupe and Tudor but I am ready to present to you the only existing 1:25 scale complete set of all 6 body-styles of the Improved Fords, introduced in September 1925. Ford was careful to note these were not new cars, they were improvements upon the 16 year old Model T. I personally own the 1:1 versions of the Touring Car and the Fordor Sedan you see here. I was involved in the restoration of the Runabout and the Roadster Pickup. The Tudor is a 1:1 of a local car here in Battle Creek and the Coupe lives down the road from my sister in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. As far as I know, nobody has ever built all six of the Model T varieties as the Fordor in particular was quite challenging. I found the Roadster Pickup and Runabout with the Up tops to be tough as well. I hope to add the final details of this project later this week but until then, enjoy the cars.

One thingI see I forgot to mention in this most interesting thread is I too would welcome a good, easy to build "improved Ford" kit. Either a variant of the existing AMT kit as Art mentioned or a from scratch new model (would it be too much to ask for a really nice stock engine and period hotrod wheels?), anything would be welcome. -
I continue to be amazed by the wide variety of skills and materials you are using to create this work of art.

1/24 Monogram '30 Ford Cabriolet - Special Interest Series

The roadster? I didn't know there was a 30 or 31 Ford roadster out there. What kit did you use? Any photos? -
I am interested in this kit. The box says 3 in 1. Is there a stock version or three types of rods? Thanks for the interesting model.

Here is the basic problem. Having had a few of these apart in 1:1 scale you need the bottom part of the Runabout body all the way back and bolt either the turtle deck or the pickup box to that. Here is how it looks done. Again, I used a Flintstone resin as my basis. -

You are absolutely right. The bodies are the same from the front doors forward but are completely different in the seat areas on back. Actually the Runabout (Ford didn't call it a Roadster, unless it was a Roadster Pickup) has quite a bit more room than a Touring. -

I am finishing a complete set of stock 26-7 Ts now. Its a big project but can be done. It is currently up under the heading assembly line Fords on the workbench. -
Thanks for that Fabrizio. The garage is very much of a work in progress. It represents what I would do with unlimited space and funding. I do a little bit more to it every time I complete a model. I think my kids like it better than I do. I am in the final day of the Tudor build. Lilely my next post will be under glass...for all of them.

Pretty neat. I lile the idea.

What's not to like? This is excellent.

I like this a lot. I'd love to see some WIP photos.

I like it. I've never built this one but did do their Piece Arrows and the Lincolns in 1:32. Nice kits.

Here is my progress on the last of the set. This is my first mock-up but the wheels definitely will not make the cut. I needed something to assess the fit of the wheels inside of the fenders. Right now I am pleased that they look pretty good. I have all of the components less a stock dashboard done so this one will come together pretty fast. I am hoping by the first of next week to be posting photos of the completed 5 year project.

Another excellent model.

I really enjoy your posts Tony. This one is excellent. Between the two of us we could have a pretty decent 1:25 scale Model T Ford show!
