  1. This is excellent. It would look great behind a 63-4 Ford Country Squire!
  2. Excellent. I wish there were more of these being done.
  3. This is definitely my kind of model. I agree with Skip that it is very well done and can be built into something quite special. I'll watch this one with interest.
  4. My ki nd of a model. I wish it was mine!
  5. I agree. Model of the Year. Stunning.
  6. This one is my kind of a model. I'll be eager to see the progress on this one. Eric
  7. Exceptional. This is my kind of a car. I like the color and the build quality is first rate. Love it.
  8. It does help to have the best '26 Touring extant in my garage to use as a reference, though I probably could do the same job using From Here to Obscurity as a desk reference. Make no mistake though, my ability to restore a 1:1 car is miles ahead of my model making skills. If I can assemble a reasonably good set here I'll be happy. Tonight the chassis all got shiny paint and I started detailing engines. With a push I'll have three rolling chassis by the end of the week.
  9. I love these old models like this. You MUST give it another go! Thanks for posting the trip down memory lane.
  10. With the coming of spring I have been derailed on this project a bit. To my good fortune my 1:1 scale '13 Ford won a National 1st in the Historic Preservation of Original Features (HPOF) award at the AACA meet in Auburn last weekend. To celebrate I decided to do some more work on my chassis projects and use a couple Hoosier made cars in the background.
  11. Oh. And can you tell us a little bit about your photos? Your garage in the background? But how?
  12. One to be proud of IMHO. You give me hope that long term projects can be completed. My sincere compliments on the most excellent model.
  13. I like this one a lot. Your cousin will be thrilled.
  14. Nah. Mail it now before it irritates you even more.
  15. I've followed this along from the beginning and sense some disappointment in the final result. As a good deed I'll help you by offering a place for you to store this eyesore. Box it up and mail it to me directly at... All kidding aside, this is a terrific model. Well done overall and in my view well worth the effort.
  16. I'm eagerly awaiting another update on this one. Looks fabulous so far.
  17. I have had one of these for about 5-7 years. Never got it finished so I need to dust it off and get it doine.l wonder, did the just clean up Bill Atchinson's tribute car or start over from scratch?
  18. I greatly appreciate this thread as I think it pointed to the exact set of problems (plural!) that I experienced on my 66 Lincoln foiling project. No the paint was not cured, no I did not wax it. No I did not properly burnish it. While it does not help with that model, it will help with the next one. A lot. Again, I can't say enough how much I appreciate this topic. Thanks guys.
  19. Looks great and will look even better when you get all the little accessories added. I look forward to seeing it as a whole. I really admire your willingness to start over and five it another go. Well done. Eric
  20. A bit of an update. Here is the chassis for the Roadster Pickup. I have added a Ruxtell 2 speed rear axle and by necessity Rocky Mountain brakes. This is not a 100% accurate depiction but should look okay in this scale.
  21. This continues to be an excellent bit of craftsmanship. You are correct, it's tough to do a model well of your own 1:1 cars.
  22. I find there is almost nothing being done in the way of four door cars. I really applaud this model. Keep it going.
  23. I really like this model a lot and will need one for myown collection. Iave a comment about Ton Geigers assertion that this was the only 1/24-1/25 Beetle with a soft top. I once attempted to build a Pyro VW which I think was supposed to be 1/25 scale. It had the soft top in the open position. It was a terrible kit but historically neat.
  24. Once I had a dog that got a hold of a fender assembly for my Johan 30 Cadillac V16 Madame X Cabriolet. I wound up being able to section the damaged fender and still have the model which remains one of my all time favorites. The dog? Long gone.
  25. Ikea almost bought a 67 in this color scheme and my first '63 Convertible was this color scheme . All I can say is DO IT! This will be stunning.
