  1. Don't tell the Mustang guys, but for me the Maverick looks twice as cool as the nicest Mustang. In fact, the Maverick is my favorite pony car.
  2. That looks awesome!!
  3. It looks great!! I remember when I built mine, it was a pain to fit the door panes inside the body. I'm not a fan of the touneaou cover tough. I painted mine, but never cared much to the way it made the car to look like.
  4. Thanks!! The color on the '62 is called Vintage Burgundy. It's a FoMoCo color. Thanks!!
  5. WOW!! She looks awesome! What a cool color combo for a '50 olds.
  6. Great work!!!
  7. Hey kid, I'm happy to see you didn't low ridered her, or added that stupid wings to the rear that look real ugly. That being said, keep out of my lawn!!! Now on the serious side, what a cool looking model. Loved the vinyl roof and the final color choice. Now you need to build a replica of the white Ford F-100 truck to go with the Gran Torino.
  8. Very beautiful car, and build. I would include some white lines on the tires, but that's a matter of personal taste, and not a modeling flaw. Thumbs up all the way!!!
  9. Thanks guys!! The last one I built, the '65, took about two and a half weeks to be completes, as I let the paint to cure a lot before foiling it. It's very cold around here right now, and the automotive clear takes some time to get hard when temperature is under 10 degrees Celsius. I don't use a dehydrator because I had an accident with melted body once. I think that what makes me build fast is my lack of patience. And the fact I build box stock. I'm planning to make a four door sedan body, based on the AMT '66, but it will be my first try on this. I have two 1966 Galaxie kits, but I really hope I don't ruin both trying to do it... As for casting, I have a friend called Rodolfo, a old timer modeler that works with resin for ages, and he can cast bodies for me, IF, and that's a big IF, I can master a decent looking four door body. The good part is that I have a 1:1 scale four door Galaxie to look at and get the proportions right.
  10. Looks like a solid car . Yep, a 351 is not the original engine. Considering there are two kinds of 351 engines, the Cleveland and the Windsor, I would say that if it had the Windsor 351 it would be easy to make it look like a 289, this one a factory stock engine, as both are small block Fords, and are 99% the same from the outside. You would need the 289 valve covers, air cleaner, and intake manifold to fit the 2BBL carb most 289s had. If it were a Cleveland engine, oh well, you could always trade it even for a 390, or even a 352 FE, or put some cash on and get a 427 with a Top Loader four speed.
  11. Thanks guys!! Really appreciated!! Nice Galaxies you have there Sam. The '66 7 Litre as a convertible is a very are car to find in 1:1 scale. Those cars for sure deserve some love.
  12. Thanks!! From 7 to 10 days a model is my average. This year I'm feeling like Detroit, I'm building lot's of Fords other than the Galaxies.
  13. They are all AMT kits. The '59 is a original issue annual I got built but unpainted. This one is really hard to find. Just put the kit apart and built it like if it was a new kit as everything was perfect, even the chrome. The '60 is the new tooling AMT Starliner, the one that has a separate frame. The '61 is the new issue AMT Styline kit. This kit is easy to find, and has a nice 1960s box art reproduction, plus comes with all styline parts included in the original issue of the kit back in the 1960s.The '62 Is a original annual AMT customizing kit kit that I got also built but unpainted. Had to make a replacement windshield for it, but the rest was mint as the person the originally put it together in the '60s did a good job, and only got too much glue on the glass, so I just painted her, and put her together again. The '63 is a 1990s reissue of the AMT kit, and can still be find with ease. The '64 is the AMT-Model King reissue kit, based on the original 1964 AMT promo. Highly recommended kit, and not that hard to find. The '65 and '66 are both 1990s reissues of the classic AMT kits. Both can be find without much effort. Keep away from the "Rides" edition of the '65 Galaxie, as it has some hideous wheels and tires in place of the original 1965 parts. Thanks!!!
  14. That's just great, spectacular!!!! Awesome paint, and a super clean job!!! Being factory stock also helps a lot, as cars are so much more beautiful the way they left the factory.
  15. The first part of my project is done. It took the best part of a year to build them all. My objective is to build the Galaxies that came before my '74 and my '82. The first part was the U.S. built Galaxies from 1959, the first one, that started life still as a Ford Fairlane 500 Galaxie, to the 1966 Ford Galaxie 500. Why 1966? That's because it was the 1966 Galaxie that Ford launched here in Brazil in 1966 as a 1967 model. The car saw very little modifications until 1976 when Ford did a major facelift, and kept it in production until 1983!! Like all Brazilian Galaxies are based on 1966 U.S. Galaxies, and only in four door sedan form, my job now will be a little more complicated as I'll have to modify several '66 AMT kits to represent the cars built here, and I never did that. Like it's raining bad here, I couldn't take a nice shot of all cars together (but I promess to do so) so i'm gonna post pictures of the separated. 1959 Ford Fairlane 500 Galaxie: 1960 Ford Galaxie Starliner: 1961 Ford Galaxie Club Victoria: 1961 Ford Galaxie Club Victoria. par Túlio Lazzaroni Lovefordgalaxie, on ipernity 1962 Ford Galaxie Sunliner: 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 XL: 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 XL: 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 XL: 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 XL par Túlio Lazzaroni Lovefordgalaxie, on ipernity 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 7 Litre: 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 7 Litre par Túlio Lazzaroni Lovefordgalaxie, on ipernity The next two I want to make models of, so I can complete my Galaxie collection: My 1974 Ford Galaxie 500: 1974 Galaxie 500 par Túlio Lazzaroni Lovefordgalaxie, on ipernity My 1982 Ford Galaxie Landau: Encontro UFSC 02 023 par Túlio Lazzaroni Lovefordgalaxie, on ipernity
  16. Thanks again gentlemen!! Hey Harry, get a ticket and get in line
  17. Oh boy!! That's a beautiful Chevrolet you have there Bruce. Loved the job you did with the AMT kit. Built a couple myself, and that front end can be a pain to put together. Very tasty wheels and tires too!!!
  18. This car is a dream of mine. I LOVE it, and I do it just like old uncle Henry made it. I consider myself to be very fortunate for having the privilege of driving one for about 50 miles, and I got in love with her. The 65hp V8 has a lot of torque, the gearbox is sweet to use, if a little noisy, and even the brakes are not bad for not being hydraulic. I always hoped someone would make a decent kit of a 1932 Ford three window coupe that could be built the way I want one (bone stock) and I'm working on a hybrid of a AMT '34 Ford with a Revell '32 Ford to produce a more or less accurate '32. Meanwhile I was given a die cast Ford of a company called Road Legends. The finish was terrible, and I decided to rebuild it. Striped the paint, and repainted it in black. Repositioned the front bumper, replaced the tires, repainted the interior, and gave a very basic detail job on the engine. I think it looks better now. Not perfect, but better.
  19. Nice choice you did, and great result. Not a fan of funny cars myself. Like cars in stock configuration.
  20. WOW!!! What a difference 7 days can make!! Love the color, as I have a soft spot for gold cars. Very well done.
  21. Thanks guys!! You know, I'm not the kind that likes to super detail things, or to add lot's aftermarket details, so I call out the kit's own detail with paint the best I can. I'm true flattered that you like my work.
  22. Nice little car. Looks ready for a weekend drive from the DDR to the CCCP and back!!!
  23. Very nice. Love the paint, foil and color.
