  1. Just finished this AMT Ford Starliner. I built her 100% box stock. The color is Tamiya TS-10 French Blue. It's not a stock color, but I just love it. The paint job on the body was all done with the Tamiya spray can. All the rest was painted with Testors acrylics and enamels with my airbrush. Whitewall were painted with a circle template and airbrushed Testors flat white acrylic. The built took me just under a week.
  2. Well guys, my favorite make is Ford, but I like some Chevrolets too, specially the '57, and we have some seriouslly handsome models of it here. Like I also love four door cars, I really dig Alan Wickham's brown '57 four door. What a coll conversion job!!! I wish I had the skill to do that kind of conversion job on a Monogram 1/12 Bal Air, and make all four doors do open.
  3. Nothing that about five cans of Tamiya spray paint TS-14 black won't do for you
  4. Monogram 1957 Chevy, box stock build.
  5. That will be the gas tank. what you thought was the gas tank is the botton of the trunk.
  6. I loved it, a very good looking model I would be proud to display myself. The only thing I would have done diferent is the engine. I would had gone with the flathead V8, but that's because I'm a Factory stock freack. Well done sir!!!
  7. Nicely done!! This is an awesome kit, from the same generation of other great AMT kits, like the '58 Edsel, the '67 Impala, '61 Ford Starliner, well you got it. Sharp detail, separate frame from floor pans, and great detail.
  8. Love Soviet cars, airplanes and submarines.Alsoo llloved your Soviet posters. 3a CCCP!!!!
  9. Thanks!! For some customizers it may sound like herectic, but I think chopping is like butchering. Never liked the way the cars look odd and distorded when chopped (it must be the "factory original" bug inside me) In 1:1 cars I only do changes that can be easily reversed back to stock. Things like a chrome valve cover, an air filter, a hobcap, or a tire, nothing radical. My '74 galaxie driver has some custom parts, but I can reverse her to full factory stock in one afternoon, leaving no scares behind. I always thought that who created and designed the car does know more about it than me, so, his way is the best way.
  10. Thaks guys!! I'm more into factory stock builds, but once in awhile I do a custom. All with some 60's vibe on them. Not a fan high tech stuff. As odd as it could be, I'm the kind of guy that likes drum brakes better than discs, points and condensers better than electronic ignitions, byas better than radials. Go figure...
  11. Loved them all,but the Crown Vic... Now that's a nice car.
  12. I was looking for the frame, and missed the body completelly, so, when I realized I was steping on it, it was too late. I was luccky not to destroy the body completely.
  13. Loved it, great color and subject, not to mention the inpecable and clean work done. I always loved this generation Mustang.
  14. Ford all the way!!!!!!
  15. This Mercury built from an AMT kit is in fact a rebuild. It was yellow before, but it had a feline kind accident, and felt from the shelf. To make this nicer, I steped on it, and broke the columns and made a nasty crack on the roof. Decided to rebuild it, instead of buying a new kit and starting from scratch. The chrome shows the age (15+years on the original build) but I think it turned out ok.
  16. WOW man, that turned out really nice!!!! The color is nice, and the red wheels look amazing. I was going trough a 100% stock build on mine, but looking at yours, I may use some of your ideas. Well done!!!!
  17. Perfect, just like it should be, factory stock. What a great looking model!!!!
  18. WOW, very realistic!!! Not easy to do that to a real '57 Chevy, those things are tough.
  19. Well, I like the Edsel way better than the charger myself. mopar is no car. FORD Rules!!!!!!
  20. Thanks for the feedback guys, me and the Fords loved it. I posted a topic about the Tudor Sedan already, but I don't ming posting tsome color pictures of it. Hope those pictures can give you some help Johann. The paint I used was Tamiya TS-11 Maroon, thats a very close match to the Ford Mandarin Maroon. Tamiya TS-15 Blue is a match for another Ford color, Washington Blue.
  21. This is a Roas Legends 1:18 scale 1932 Ford Three Window Coupe, I repainted, and detailed a bit more.
  22. A tribute to the 1940 Ford, just the way Uncle Henry made them, for me the only way to build them. Use as soundtrack the song "Anything Goes" by Cole Porter
  23. I built one, and have another unbuilt. The kit is just a reissue that comes with some more stuff like a bit of foil, and some vintage style material about the car. Parts come to build it stock and custom. It's a good kit, one only have to take care with the front end assembly (inner fenders, ventilation tubes, radiator frame), that has to be aligned pretty well. I discovered that the best way to avoid problems is to glue the firewall, and inner fenders onto the body at the same time, and not as the instructions say.
  24. I like this car better with the Lada badge.
  25. And leave without paying without the danger of the cops to get you
