  1. This one is a old build, and I already posted it here, those are just new pictures. The kit is the Monogram in 1:24 scale I built all stock. Paint is all Tamiya, black, and Italian Red on the body. 1956 Chevy Bel Air by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1956 Chevy Bel Air by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1956 Chevy Bel Air by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1956 Chevy Bel Air by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1956 Chevy Bel Air by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr
  2. I followed this build online on YouTube, and the results are great. It looks as good or better than mine, that was built with Tamiya paint and BMF that costed a lot more than the material Chris used. Since I started watching Chris's videos, I'm saving a lot of money on my builds, that's for sure.
  3. The very best build of this kit I ever saw. It's a real masterpiece. replica of the very best race car ever built.
  4. No, I just use the HDR button on Photoshop, so the dark parts can actually be seen. I have the pictures without the use of HDR resource, but they do look dark. For real HDR you have to take two pictures with different exposure levels and so on, and the effect is a lot more beautiful.
  5. I liked it. Very well executed. Personally, I miss the chrome tough. But nothing to detract from the build quality, it was a choice you made, and the car DOES look great.
  6. Always good to see a chevy with an actual engine
  7. Thanks gentlemen!! Like you can see, I'm not much into adding extra detail, even on big scale models like this Chevrolet. I like more to work on the paint, and body, than making extra detail for the mechanical part. Even tough, I made some stainless steel exhaust tips, and also made some quarter windows, to make the car to look more real. The engine and chassis tough, are just as the kit brought, and only detailed basically with paint.
  8. You just say that because it has a MIRROR. Tell the truth Harry
  9. Thanks guys. Very appreciated!!
  10. maybe, if a beautiful princess kisses it, it will become a Thunderbird...
  11. Always nice to please the Chevy crew!!! We Ford guys are nice Not to mention I have a Chevy S-10 sitting in my garage... Don't tell anybody tough.
  12. Thanks Steve!! Oh My, don't even remember me of the display restrictions... I keep my models, at least most of them inside their original boxes, and this baby, without a box, takes the space of three 1:25 cars. Not to mention I don't have a display box big enough for it. Have to build one with glass. I built one for my Titanic model, and it was a pain.
  13. Loved it!!! Very clean, and sharp looking in white. This retro looking Mustang body style is still one of the best looking new cars. I would spend my money on a real '68 Mustang tough... And a V8 Maverick over any Mustang.
  14. Some will remember this old build '57 Chevrolet Bel Air. The kit is one of my favorites, the Revell-Monogram 1:12 scale. The tires are from the old issue Monogram, as the ones Revell included were unusable (were in fact the stock tires from the '69 Camaro kit, and wouldn't accept the white wall inserts). The paint is Tamiya TS-14 black, and I used a lot of spray cans on this baby... Not to mention an entire envelope of BMF... I think my greatest wish in model wise is a 1:12 scale kit of the 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Club Victoria. I would probably sell all my kits and only build 1:12 Club Vickys for the rest of my life More Bel Air Shots by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr More Bel Air Shots by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr More Bel Air Shots by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr More Bel Air Shots by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr More Bel Air Shots by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr More Bel Air Shots by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr More Bel Air Shots by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr
  15. She's a beauty!! A little wash on the grille would make her even more beautiful.
  16. I love it!!!
  17. Thanks a lot my friends!! This model has kind of a "agitated" life, as after it was all done and completed I got a PE kit for this kit. I'm not into this kind of thing, but really loved the rings that go on the taillights. So, instead of building another Bird to use it, I just got the pieces I liked better, and installed them on my completed Thunderbird. The front and rear badges are PE, as are the coo inserts on the taillights, the front fender scripts, the headlight masks, and the mirrors's reflecting surfaces. No I didn't have problems with the firewall and chassis, I just had problems when test fitting the interior, and saw that the door panels would not get into the body after the paint. It was that tight of a fit. I just sanded the rear of the door panels, and just a little of the body and the problem just went away. If I had to choose the hardest part of this kit, I would choose the front spindles. You actually have to use the lowered spindles to get the car on the stock ride height, and not with a noose high in the air. Also replaced the tires with parts box tires. Just hate that BFGs with white wall insets AMT has as new tool. On my Edsel I also trowed them away.
  18. Thanks folks!! This is my favorite generation of kits.
  19. Thank you very much guys!!!
  20. Thanks guys!! The dash chrome is all foil. The door panels chrome is also all foil.

  22. Thank you guys!! They are just chrome.
  23. First of all, Thank You very much my friends!!! Always love to read your feedback!!! The Edsel had some pretty wild engine colors. The white valve covers and air cleaner are stock as is the greenish yellow engine block. This is the E-400 engine, the "base" Edsel V8, that was an early FE V8. The "top" Edsel engine, the E-475 was painted green, a almost fluorescent green... With white valve covers and air cleaner!! I would had bought an Edsel for sure back in the day. Gorgeous cars. Today, they are out of my price range.
  24. Another one to bore you guys with Old build, already posted AMT 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 XL.
