Thanks guys!! Yep, I'm out of my comfort zone. Thanks!! I built it a lot of time ago, when I was in college, and one of my pals had one. I remember asking him to see the engine to get the basic color scheme under the hood.

Thanks guys!! This car is so fast the mirror flew away... Now seriously, I couldn't find a decent one that even looks a little like the ones Ford used to install as optional equipment on those cars. My '65 Galaxie also has no mirrors. Still looking for something close to stock.

Also from my new tire and wheel box came the set I just installed on my '57 Fairlane 500 Club Vicky road racer. Now, with the Custom series hubcaps, the car looks even more a sleeper than it looked before... 1957 Ford by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1957 Ford by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1957 Ford by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr

Installed a set of Firestone Wide Ovals on my 7 Litre. A friend gave me a box full of tires and wheels, and I found lot's of small jewels inside!! Love the Wide Ovals. Have them on my 1:1 Galaxie, and find them great little tires to drive on, and they look great also. Just hate radials to death... 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 7 Litre by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 7 Litre by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 7 Litre by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr

This is my only Japanese car. Built it a long time ago from a Tamiya kit, and painted it with Tamiya Italian Red spray paint. Have nothing against Japanese cars, just the manufacturers don't appeal to me at all. I like my cars with the blue oval, a Ladea boat from the Volga River inside the emblem, or a deer over the GAZ lettering. The last two, manufactured before 1991. That looks like a Japanese sports car designed for the guy that has only a parking space for a Daihatsu Cuore

I just love this kit. Built many of them already. The one that's 100% stock I built in Raven Black single tone. Liked your build, just would had used foil tough. Before I even knew Bare Metal existed, I used aluminum household foil and white glue. To be 100% honest, it still produces a better chrome than BMF, that is more and more "orange peeled" these days.

Old kit+Mustang+great craftsmanship=Awesome!!!

I love it, the color looks perfect for the car.

Man that was the exact thing I thought when I saw the car. Maybe two figures, younger Biff, and older Biff with the almanac on hands showing it to his young self!!
-
I loved it!! Just have one thing I would change: The front right hubcap (the one with the Ford oval) is the one that is supposed to go on the spare. On the wheels, the hubcaps have the V8 emblem. Easy fix, and very sweet build.

Ancient history '57 T-bird "normal model"
Lovefordgalaxie replied to Russell C's topic in Model Cars
Very very nice. Super sharp and clean, and the most important, factory stock. -
Great job!! I have a thing for black cars, but red suits the '57 very well.

Thanks Charlie!! The door line was moved forward as the roadster door is smaller than the three window coupe door. I moved the line forward about 8 millimeters, and I say about, because the doors were not the same length on both sides. Now they are. If you want a reference, the Roadster door is the same length as the five window coupe door.

Thanks again guys!! Here is the 1:1 that inspired the two yellow Fords: Inspiration by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr I just didn't had the nerve to paint the grille yellow... I just kept hearing Mr. Ford in my head: "That's not stock my friend"
-
Very nice!! By the way, can you understand what are the Minions saying? I think they are about to take your car apart...
-
Very cool!! Loved the Duntov kit.

Thanks again guys!! I also love the color. Ford the ones that want to paint a car this color: On a 1936 Ford colors brochure I looked at (showing only colors), it's called "Demonstrator Yellow", and the same code paint is also called "Tacoma Cream" on a 1936 FoMoCo brochure (showing cars and the available colors). After some deeper research, I found out that both names are accurate, and the color was really the same, but "Demonstrator Yellow" was used on the pick up truck sales material, and "Tacoma Cream" on passenger car sales material.

Thank you my friends!! Very appreciated!! Not really, I'm just in between '57s Unfortunately the Revell kit kind of vanished from around here And I still have a lot of colors to go... I really got in the mood for building those two yellow '36 Fords (the black one has over 20 years old) after I saw a re-rum of one of my favorite movies, Maxie. In the movie, the car used is a yellow '36 Roadster, that is a daily driver in the 1980s. The car really pops when compared to all the junk on the roads around it. Mr. Ford did quite a job.

After I restored my old build black five window 1936 Ford, I had on hand two five window Fords, so I thought about building a roadster. I got the new Round 2 kit, but after opening the box, I realized that at some point in the future I could want to build a three window coupe, so I went back to my stash, and found a old issue of the AMT kit: Next victim by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr This kit has everything needed to build a Roadster, so I proceeded with this one and not with the new edition. The only modification needed was to fill the rear door line, as the body had the three window door engraved, and inscribe a new door line on the correct place for a Roadster. After that it was a pretty much box stock build. I only added some plug wires, radiator supports, and licence plates. The color is stock FoMoCo. in synthetic enamel. Hope you guys like it!! 1936 Ford De Luxe Roadster by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1936 Ford De Luxe Roadster by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1936 Ford De Luxe Roadster by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1936 Ford De Luxe Roadster by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1936 Ford De Luxe Roadster by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1936 Ford De Luxe Roadster by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1936 Ford De Luxe Roadster by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1936 Ford De Luxe Roadster by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1936 Ford De Luxe Roadster by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr

Loved it!!! Great color, and way nice Flathead with a Duntov kit. That should sound really good with those glasspacks. -

Real or Model #224 FINISHED!
Lovefordgalaxie replied to Harry P.'s topic in Real or Model? / Auto ID Quiz
Model. Large scale. It has the same feeling of that derivable midget cars you posted some time ago Harry. The engine looks too "plain" in color as if someone just painted the entire part silver, what I really doubt would be done to this kind of antique motorcycle. The tires do look a lot like some old bicycle tires. I had a bicycle with tires just like the one in the front when I was a kid. -
Loved this one. Want one!!!
