  1. I got this off eBay a long time ago. Maybe the site is still around?
  2. Am I the only one excited over the Beretta? Goodbye insane feebay prices...
  3. I thought you could get Spaz in an aerosol can? I could be wrong. Alclad is great stuff. I got an airbrush from Harbor Freight for like 15 bucks on sale just so I could spray Alclad. I added an adjustable regulator and its served me well.
  4. I got it at a show a couple weeks back. Motor City Resin produced it, although it's not on their site.
  5. Finally got some bench time in this morning. I worked on the interior a bit. I didn't like the bucket/jump seat combo molded in so I chopped it out. Used some sheet styrene to rebuild the back of the interior and cut up 2 rear seats from old monogram Blazers to make a nice looking bench. Added some brake and clutch pedals from a blazer kit too. It's roughed in at this point. Plenty of sanding to do. Now on to the bed....
  6. I just picked the body up a few weeks back. It may be a new offering not yet on the site. Progress has been slow. It's been busy at work and I've been fighting issues with my daily driver. Will post up some pics tonight.
  7. So I put this together. It's a 69 GTX 440 and the Trans from the kit. I think it'll do just fine. Not terribly accurate, but it certainly looks better than the blob that comes in the LRE kit. It'll spruce up with a MAD distributor and a nice coat of Chrysler blue
  8. Just a quick mockup. Still hunting for my spare 440 engine. I haven't quite decided on a color scheme yet. Hate to be so boring and go with just white.
  9. Hi all. This will mark my first documented build ever on this site. Been a member for years and I've received a ton of inspiration. I picked up this MCRC wrecker body a couple weeks back at a show and had a crazy idea to build a dodge wrecker. I've had this LRE for a few years and had no inspiration to build it until now. A great member on this site helped me out with a chassis, huge thanks to Dan (59 Impala). Picked up a set of wheels and tires from scenes unlimited. If you haven't yet, order some. Nicest dually set I've ever seen. I figured this is the perfect build to use my Gofer Racing decals on. Stay tuned...
  10. I think they had a hit, especially with the 69. Im kicking myself for not grabbing one in the first few weeks. I cant find one anywhere.
  11. Ive been waiting for this one for a while. Cant wait!
  12. I fourth that... see Dave at AITM. Has everything you need......
  13. Those Kenworth printed grilles are beautiful. I just got my early style K123 grille and I must say, its superb. Crisp detail and looks like it'll fit perfectly. I can't wait to see what KJ comes up with next. I hear there might be spoke wheels in the near future.............
  14. I had heard someplace that on modern trucks, one of the lines going to the trailer has something to do with ABS brakes?
  15. Lol. The addiction is bad too. I've never bought many resin and aftermarket parts until the trucks came along. The cars were the gateway drug. The trucks are the hard core junk....
  16. Ive been a car builder for most of my life. Ive had 2 and 3 of seemingly every car kit imaginable. I finally got bit by the truck bug about 2 years ago. I built a K123 and loved every minute of it. Have been buying strictly trucks ever since.....
  17. I started a few this year, but not much. Ill get pics when I get home.
  18. There is a bridge on the west side of Ohare airport that had been under construction that is on a major truck route. There were some 150 signs put up to let trucks know that the clearance was reduced and to follow a detour. Within 2 days they had to close the road to all traffic because they had about 50 truck accidents....
  19. I, for one, am ecstatic to see the Papa truck coming around. Ive been wanting a K100 but refuse to pay the fee-bay prices. With the news of the rerelease of the WWS, then there's some remaining hope that we may see the R model again. I missed the boat the last time and I sure do regret it. I dont have the heart to break into my one and only red R model without hopes of a return....
  20. The 77 GMC Plow kit has a leaf sprung solid axle, but not sure exactly what its supposed to represent. Its 1/24th scale so it'll match up well to the Ranger and 250/350 kits.
  21. I didnt see the Ertl 4300 Race Truck listed. Is this the V800 also? Just curious....
  22. I just spotted this old guy a few days ago. many thanks to our resident peterbilt expert Tim for helping identify it. It's a mid 80s Pete 349
  23. Just scored an AMT Kenworth T600a sealed for $20 off the bay. Cheapest I've found. I refuse to pay a lot for it knowing the work that has to go into it to build an accurate version....
  24. I had about a hundred or so cars in my stash before I got into truck building last year. I now have about 120 cars and 60 or so trucks. I need to start thinning out the car collection, not enough room for trucks!
