Revell Auto transport trailer.

I see both kinds regularly. I commonly see Volvos pulling this type of trailer. -
Truck Kits You've Scored Recently

I havent seen this kit since I built a replica of my uncle's 66 Catalina back in the mid 90s. I remember it built out to be a nice kit. I too am not horribly worried about accuracy issues. I enjoy the hobby for what it is, not "how it should be"....

S series international
tonye66 replied to chris02719's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Im a huge fan of the S series trucks. I have managed to get my hands on several of the 2674 trucks for fairly reasonable prices lately. One Im already building into a Chicago snow plow. Id love to get my hands on one of the 2575's once I can find one. Seems like the 2674 was least popular and winds up on the bay quite often in unbuilt, unopened condition. I actually prefer the Ertl truck kits because of their incredible detail. All the internationals have working steering like the Macks. This is the one thing that the AMT trucks always lacked... -

That is the coolest van I've seen yet. Nice work! Everyone I've shown it to loves the bong. Super cool touch.... -

They are pretty rare. Before I wanted one I saw them everywhere. The 2674 was the one I never saw. I've seen exactly two on ebay in the last year and both were too far out of my budget. -

Just scored me another F2674 International today. Makes 3 in the hoard. I just wish I could come across an F2575. That's my grail kit.... -

Just picked me up one of the c600 stake trucks thanks to the conversation in this thread. I got the early 2000s version with both sets of frame rails. I need to spend less time on this site because I'm going to go broke.... This one... -
Fantastic save. Another beautiful addition to your fleet i believe the delta 88 had Amber and red tail lights while the 88 royale had the solid red light. I had a friend who's parents had one of each model. I think they were both 83 models.

LookinLooks great. One thing that would really make that trailer pop is a set of woodgrain decals from Mr Jerry Reeter at modeltruckin.com. Really makes that deck look nice.

Ford C 900 and trailer Questions
tonye66 replied to Chu's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I stuffed a Detroit from a 359 into the racecar hauler Ford and that was a ton of work. Had to chop out the middle of the firewall and half the floor to get it to fit. -

In the last week, I scored an Italeri Superliner, a Coke Louisville Hauler, an original issue Paystar dump, 3 sets of Moebius wheels, and a few sets of 2 hole budds from Double Take. That'll keep me busy for a week or two..... -
What a beaut!

Turned out great. I gotta build one myself one of these days. I have the good fortune of living mere blocks from the great Grand-Spaulding Dodge dealership. It hasnt been open in years, but the buildings still stand. Its probably the only perfomance dealership to remain standing. Nickey Chevy has been townhomes for at least the last 10 years.....

The absolute worst kit ever!
tonye66 replied to Nick Notarangelo's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I absolutely detest the current Revell original Mini Cooper. What a pile. The parts themselves were cleanly cast with little flashing, but when anything is mounted in its designated position, nothing seems to want to align properly. Tossed it back in the box and back on the shelf. What really stinks is that its got one of my best paint jobs on it..... -
Personally, Id love to see a car transporter. Revell had one in the late 80s and it hasnt been released since (RoG may have repopped it once but good luck finding one now). Based upon the quality of your other kits, this could be a huge hit. Of course, I also agree that we also need a lowboy and dump trailer too......

I bought one 2 weeks ago from Megahobby and they were out last night when I checked. I managed to grab one more off the 'bay last night and even that seller was only advertising that he had 2 left in stock. I think one more seller had a couple of the new releases listed but the rest I saw were the original issue kits. I sure hope they pop some more out. I got all sorts of ideas for future builds....

Big rig newbe
tonye66 replied to LongRoofNut's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Still looks BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH good... I too recently stepped into the big-rig game. I have probably 200+ built and unbuilt cars and I hit a slump I was having trouble recovering from. On a whim, I picked up a Kenworth K123 on clearance at HL and Im totally back into the game. Ive since bought 5 more trucks to go along with this one and a few trailers are on order. Only real issue I ran into was the seriously warped frame rails on the Kenworth.... -
Range Rover Classic

Looking good so far. It would look nice jacked up on the Jeep Rubicon suspension and tires.... I sure hope the Rovers down under were better than the ones that hit the US. A buddy has one of the newer models and cant find anyone besides the dealership that will work on it for him.....
