Scale I Build

  1. Saw on another thread some converting stock 66 pan. I want to do a fairly simple drag car with this kit. Now I've seen some things here I must address. 1. Why a 4 door wagon? Simple, except for rumored USAF vehicles it's the only factory offered wagon. Wagons have long history of weight transfer superiority. I have this in styrene in hand and like it a lot. 2. Do you have to cut the engine compartment away? According to the other thread yes but I don't think so. Has anyone noticed the holes in the inner fenders on stock 63? Looks like spring location holes like in the 66. Proportionally looks okay. You might choose to but I intend to use this body intact. Looking at the body I think springs and upper arms can be used with the stock chassis for added detail? We shall see on this thread. I'm keeping this simple because the chassis retains leaf springs. If it offered a 4 link and more sophisticated parts I'd likely gut the engine bay and add tubular a arms and coil overs. But this is intended to be a simple build of a street/bracket footbrake car. I hope you find it enjoyable.
  2. I started this build last year and finally got motivation to post it, this one is gonna be one of the best if not the best build I’ve done so far, so I’m not going to rush it.
  3. So I got an order in for a customer to do a build on their race car so I’m going all out on this one, I’ve been working non stop for the past few days and this is what I have so far
  4. I did a poll on my Instagram (@muurcreations) a few days ago and they wanted me to build barefoot Ronnie’s old nova so I’m giving them what they want lol. I’m my opinion, his car is really under appreciated because it really is beautiful
  5. Radial vs The World Corvette I've been messing around with for 2 weeks. Completely scratch built tube chassis on a 315 Drag Radial with a 932 BB from Vcg resins with some mods & Turbo 400 trans. Working on 2 the second will have a 526 hemi with a screw blower Scratch built the block, blower hat and oil pan for the blower only had the heads, valve covers and blower. Thanks for looking !! =
  6. I've been away from models for a while but have just recently got back in and couldn't be happier. This build will be using the Reher Morrison third gen camaro, but will be built a little different. I've always loved third gens and have a 1:1 of my own. I will be adding some extra details with parts from Ted's modelling marketplace. Thanks for looking!

  8. I'm building a diecast 1/24 scale 69 camaro outlaw 10.5 car. It was originally a M2 machines chip foose car but im not a big fan of foose, but anyway heres what ive done......i lowered the suspension, put american racing pro series wheels on it, put scale 10.5 tires on it, removed the spoiler filled the holes in the trunk lid, scratch built drag wing, shaved the door handles mirrors and windshield wipers...i still need to build the 25.5 cage scratch build a 4" to 6" cowl hood and find a nice small block chevy or pontiac motor i like to twin turbo also need to do the parachutes and chute bracket. thanks for looking and Please comment. original out of the box: 10.5 tires: shaved door handles mirror: empty engine bay soon to be filled with nastyness: shaved trunk lid: shaved wiper cowl: scratch built wing: stance:
  9. Hi All, I'm currently working on a Fujimi Mazda Savanna GT. I'm looking at converting it to a drag car (in the vain of a Mazda RX3) There is no way the drag wheels from Hippie Hemi kit I have will fit under the current wheel arches. I presume there will be a fairly drastic modification needed to get the wheels to fit so i thought i'd ask for tips before i start. Cheers
  10. I doubt anybody would need any close ups of anything but if you do I can give you some good pictures of it. also if you need and pics of the 9 inch or ladder bar/wheelie bar or turbo 350 anything just ask.
