  1. A few images of various GM divisions' clay models shared via the GM Photostore's facebook page: The below was a proposed idea for the '70 Monte Carlo, before the more formal roof was locked in: Astro 1: Panther Camaro with a more formal roofline: Where's the drool emoji when you need it?:
  2. Hey its gettin warmer,,happy spring to all. Just finished the AMT 70 1/2 Camaro,,I wanted it orange,,similar to box art,,but I used flat black primer,, sprayed w/Testors quikdry "Flaming orange" it turned out "Rootbeer Brown metallic" ,,which is ok too I guess. I should have used red or orange primer to get a better orange effect. Changed out the kit tires with some larger /wider profile,,added some basic wiring in Ebay,,made some seat belts from x-tras bx ,,hand painted the trim work. I do use BMF at times but not all the time,,depends on how crisp the molding work is on the kit to begin with. `Fun kit to do,,now on to my 68' Shelby GT-500 in pearl green, with the drag pack version! Thanks for lookin,,and get out and enjoy the warmer weather! Cheers.
  3. I'm looking for a few air cleaners similar to this. If nothing else, i need the bottom most of all and have plenty of common air cleaners to make the small lid and filter element. Not worried about the rubber seal or even the length or clock position of the snorkles as they can be altered. Where can i look?
  4. Not a bad kit at all. Very easy to build, bit of a fit issue with the shaker hood though. Over all a very good model. 5. Hey everyone, I had recently done a review of the new Round 2 '17 Camaro SS full detail kit and it got me geeked to do some other reviews on a lot of my unbuilt kits. A lot of them are older releasea from the 90's-present day. I'll post my list below and see if anyone has any interest in seeing what's in the box for some of these kits. If you're interested, leave a comment below and I'll try and get some photos taken and post them in a new thread for that specific kit Thanks! 6. Okay, so I was working on a scale front placement conversion of the 4th generation 'vette LS V8 drivetrain, and came across/inspired by this article about some guys making a LS V12 engine from couple of V8s ....it's even easier for us to do in plastic, and so I figured why not? How cool would a V12 LS hot rod be!? going to work on the block next, but otherwise should use all the same ancillaries, only manifolds to construct otherwise
  7. Good Evening, I am brand new to this site and forum. I used to put together model cars as a teenager just to occupy my OCD, but hadn't done one in YEARS until a few weeks ago. I threw together an '07 Shelby GT500 in just a few days, not putting any effort in. That build brought back the itch, so I needed to do more. The other night I grabbed the '69 Camaro kit to work on. Unfortunately this is going to be another quick build, without the detail I really want. I'm not in a financial position to get all the extra tools and things that I want/need to really slow down and do a great build. Not working with any primer, sanding, etc for now, though I hope to be able to collect these things for future builds. I am still trying to enjoy taking the time and hopefully doing an acceptable job. Below are some pics; I started with the engine block, and added quite a few of the added parts. Any comments, tips, or critiscism is welcome. I'll be posting more as I progress with the project.
  8. Hi all,,heres my version of the 1/25th Revell 68' vette,,,,I did it as a combo car,,drag/Tran-am style,,sortof like you could use the car for either style. I did a few mods to it,,different windshield, rims + tires, scratch built roll bar,put wing on the trunk deck. Side pipe headers are from the spare parts bx. Put different headrests on seats. Other than that its the stock kit. Just a different spin on the Vette,,thanks for looking,,and happy building!
  9. Happy 2014 all,,hope your staying warm in this crazy weather. Heres what Ive been up to recently,,its the AMT 72' GTO,,a decent kit ,,although it had some "issues" as far as fit+ design,,had to modify a few things to get it together. But it turned out ok,,I used different rims+ tires, but other than that,,with some minor wiring/plumbing thats about all I did to it. Fun kit overall,,have fun and stay warm!
