Kenny B Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 This is a 56 Ford pick-up I call The Grocery Getter. I built this about 15 years ago. It was my first time painting the colour Yellow over blue. I learned that you need to prime it first or you will have to put on several unhappy coats of yellow to cover the blue. More to come. Ken.
kilrathy10 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Well, despite your paint issue, it looks pretty good to me.....Beautiful looking truck....
thatz4u Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Nice lookin' effie, wish Revell would retool this kit, & update it....:-)
Kenny B Posted May 1, 2015 Author Posted May 1, 2015 Well here are the rest of the pictures. I would really like to strip it down and redo it. Now that I have a few more models under my belt I have learned from my mistakes. It took parts from two other model kits to build this truck. The paint is just to thick and not right. At some point it will be redone when I have time. Let me know what you think. Remember it was done about 15 years ago. Thanks, Ken.
mustang1989 Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Good ol' Revell kit. I've got this one and I'm doing something fairly similar. I like the idea on the exhaust. What did you use for the exhaust tips/ extensions? Nice build BTW Ken!

mustang1989 Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Thanks for planting the seed on how I'm going to solve my exhaust issues. I now have a plan of attack at least.
gatorincebu Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Whether or not it was done yesterday or 15 yrs ago. I think it looks good. A bit of overkill for getting the groceries home! But whatever floats your boat! Be Well Gator
gardnerpag44 Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Great looking 5, very cool 6 , that should move your groceries fast
