am73grand
I've always wanted to do a Rockford Files car but I couldn't get past the whitewall tires. Then I watched the pilot episode and he was driving a '74 with RWL tires. This was something I could build! Paint is Tamiya Gold. Hood is from Missing Link, tires are from AMT parts pack. Wheels are from an MPC '75 Ventura. Body, is by MPC. The engine is from the Revell '68 Firebird. Chassis and underhood area are from an AMT '70 Camaro. It's not perfect but I'm really happy with how it turned out. I have to figure out how to hide the gap between the cowl and windshield. I also need to add mirrors and plates but I'm calling it done! Thanks for looking!!
Maindrian Pace
Ron, that's one of the nicest Rockford Firebirds I've seen. I can picture it doing a reverse J-turn with a '75 Monte Carlo chasing it. -MJS
TFchronos
Very nice build, always fun to see tv show cars.
JTalmage
Thats a beauty! I need to work on mine. Amazing how well the Tamiya gold matches the real car. Got any pics of it in actual daylight? You'll have his first car and I'll have his last car. That would be a cool picture with them together.
