Sixties Sam Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Hey, all. I finished this Model T rusty pickup today. I posted the body mods in the on the workbench section. It's a chopped coupe body modified into a pickup. It wasn't too hard to do. The rest of the model is out of the box, except for the injectors from the Little Red Wagon kit, and the narrow front whitewalls from the parts box. The bed floor is made of coffee stirrers. Paint is cheap flat black with "rust" from red oxide primer and some powdered chalk. The headers are from an original double T kit, and the chrome is faded - perfect for a rat rod! I'll save the shiny ones for something else. I "blued" them with some thinned acrylic blue paint. This was a fun build, and it makes something a bit different from the chopped T coupe we've seen for 50 years! Comments welcome.
Crazy Ed Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 'Bout the only thing missing is a Flat crank handle Coke machine. Nicely done and well represented.
wayne swayze Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 That ended up being really cool! Looks good as a pickup.
Snake45 Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 (edited) I like that a lot. You really nailed good proportioins. It's worthy of a "real" paint job. Well done and model on! Edited May 18, 2015 by Snake45
