gtx6970 Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Wow... I don't know how you knock them out this quick and at this level of quality
Ace-Garageguy Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 (holy cow !!) Gorgeous. I'll for sure be studying your woody build thread. I never really liked the plastic woodies, and your work here gives me inspiration to do a few cars I've never seen in 1/25.
Twokidsnosleep Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Great finish off to your project Even better news that we get to see a classic Pocher being built soon Have a great summer, looking forward to the fall!!!
SCI-FI Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 This entire build was a great trip to my youth. I built the Revell 34 Phantom II Continental back in the late 70s (kit H-1294). This build prompted me to find it, built and boxed, hidden on a shelf in my parents' basement. A gluebomb for sure, but not as bad as I'd remembered.
jaymcminn Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Stunning work, Harry. Your builds have finally convinced me to have a go at some of the classics gathering dust in my collection!

Harry P. Posted June 8, 2015 Author Posted June 8, 2015 This looks one the money Harry! How in the world do you guys pull off this wood grain technique? It's very simple. I used real wood. The grain is built in!
mustang1989 Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 In reading back to the original post I probably woulda caught that if I would have read "The body from the cowl back is completely scratchbuilt of basswood and birch veneer." Yeah....that part. LOL. Awesome job Harry! Awesome!
Harry P. Posted June 8, 2015 Author Posted June 8, 2015 Thanks! There's a link in that first post to the step-by-step WIP if you're interested.
