ranma Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 How many times they tell drivers not to go through high water? You'd think after all these years people would learn. But here they are on the news showing one to three cars stuck because the driver tried to go through. The onlt car that could do it would be the ampicar. Sorry your ( kia) drowned.
Ace-Garageguy Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 How many times they tell drivers not to go through high water? You'd think after all these years people would learn. But that would require them to have been paying attention to something other than the Kardashians and texting a lot about absolutely nothing. Never happen.
ranma Posted June 17, 2015 Author Posted June 17, 2015 Like I told Harry, My 95 buick Lesabre is a land yacht not a BOAT.
Harry P. Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Like I told Harry, My 95 buick Lesabre is a land yacht not a BOAT. Right. But you can't reach stupid people. And God knows we have our share in this country...
bobthehobbyguy Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Hey if you're a state farm customer you say the jingle and you miraculously get out of the water. Or Flo the dinner waitress shows up and pulls you out. That why stupid is used to sell car insurance. for all of the moronic drivers.

Never happen. I think the "problem" pre-dates your (and the others)references by about 100 years....nothing new whatsever. Edited June 18, 2015 by mike 51
High octane Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 They may be the same people that get their cars stuck on the railroad tracks when a train is comin.'
mike 51 Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 (edited) Any of you folks take (and pass) statistics in school? Turns out a handful of people (out of 330 million) doing seemingly foolish things is nearly meaningless statistically. Sorry... Edited June 18, 2015 by mike 51
slusher Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 They may be the same people that get their cars stuck on the railroad tracks when a train is comin.' Just seen on the local news where a guy drove around the down guards and was hit by the train but lived. He really believed he could beat it

mike 51 Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Maybe so, but think again... But Bill no where near (either) half of the people drive into high water (the subject of the thread) or try to cross train crossings with the barriers down. Do they?
Ace-Garageguy Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 But Bill no where near (either) half of the people drive into high water (the subject of the thread) or try to cross train crossings with the barriers down. Do they? Amazing, isn't it?
Chuck Most Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 A land-based wheeled vehicle that lacks a watertight hull isn't good in water? Earth-shattering! In other news... breathing is good for you.
Mark Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 But the manufacturer didn't put a sticker on the dashboard saying that the car isn't submersible...
charlie8575 Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Maybe so, but think again... Seems I ended up with the other half at most points of 2001-10 and portions of 2012, '13 and '15. They're called high school kids. Charlie Larkin
