Tonioseven
I have a cousin that wants one built and I realize there's only the '68 fastback available in kit for. My thoughts are to somehow combine a '66 with a '68 and make it happen. Any insight would be helpful. Thank you. Antonio
thatz4u
I saw this conversion done in an old edition of Scale Auto, required careful cutting

Dave Van
65-66 notch back rear window is 100% different than a 67-68. It is inset and has very minor sail panels. To get a correct one.....plastic and lots of work.... I have a 1/1 in the garage if you need pics.

That sounds more like you're talking about a '69-'70. Or maybe I'm not understanding....

pack rat
I am often confused......but owning a 68 notch....not this time..... As a former '67 notch owner I concur; the window opening and rear section of the roof and c-pillars are totally different
MrObsessive
There's also a subtle but to me noticeable crease that runs parallel to the drip rails, and down along the C pillars on '67-'68 notchbacks. Some of the conversions I've seen miss this crease and use the one from the '66, but that's not correct. I'm a bit interested in this project as a I want to build a long time favorite car-------------this one......... I did build one many years ago, but my conversion wasn't right. I simply grafted the '66 roof onto the lower '68 body. Not quite correct there as the notch's had smaller "hips" than the fastbacks, and to my eye, the rear quarters are a bit taller too. Dave Van
Also note how different the trunk lid is between FB and notch.
Greg Myers
OK. Two new kits we'd all love to see. Don't tell me we already have a good '65-'66. AMT promo style chassis stinks !
Rob Hall
The Motor City Resin body is quite nice.
