So I am very new to bmf, I tried the aluminium foil trick and like it, yet i have 1 small problem. What is the best cheap most likely lasting around the house glue to use to stick it to the model? I tried rubber cement, not a good long term bond there, white glue was a waste, super glue sticks great but is not very user friendly. Any thoughts?

BMF (Bare Metal Foil - it is a brand name) has adhesive on it. No need for any glue. If you go on the cheap, you can take some thin aluminum foil and brush paint some Microscale Foil Adhesive on it. After it dries it acts just like the real BMF. But BMF is much thinner than aluminum foil and it is als much more pliable so it is easier to use and it conforms to complex surfaces much better.

If you're making your own from regular kitchen foil, this stuff works the best, there's nothing around the house that works as good as this stuff.

Agree completely. Get this stuff. A bottle of it and a roll of cheap foil will last a lifetime and do 90%+ of everything expensive, perishable BMF will do.
