jimstixxx Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Been watchin the builds on here and decided to post one I'm working on. The Kenworth snap kit builds into a nice unit if you add your own touches to it. This one is flame red lacquer with two tone brown /tan interior. I stretched the frame about an inch. Still comin up with a stripe design for it,but thought I would get it on here. Great builds fellas, keep it up !!
jimstixxx Posted July 22, 2015 Author Posted July 22, 2015 , thanks I love these Kenworth snap kits. Easy assembly and end result is pretty good. Still got a ways to go going to put a body-colored headache rack on the rear
Kenny B Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Jim, These snap kits sure end up looking good. Ken.
gatorincebu Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Hellfire, that looks good as a plain Jane! Be Well Gator
jimstixxx Posted July 25, 2015 Author Posted July 25, 2015 Making a chain locker for rear of truck ,still in progress..but couldnt wait to see it with a trailer..
gatorincebu Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Well, it does look really good with that trailer behind it! Be Well Gator
jimstixxx Posted July 25, 2015 Author Posted July 25, 2015 Maybe those Erb decals that came with the trailer would look good on this unit, dont know if they ran KW hoods or not?
Dave Van Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 I like that kit and yours is looking good...... Kit has just enough detail for a casual build. Mine in Tamiya green......
Chu Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Beautiful truck I like the color and details that you put on your KW.
jimstixxx Posted July 30, 2015 Author Posted July 30, 2015 Well here it is pretty much finished. Just need company lettering on the doors and minor details . The stripe is orange center w/white outline. Simple ,but I like it. Thx for following, look for more trucks comin soon.
Petetrucker07 Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Looks pretty darn good. Great job on the window and door trim.
gatorincebu Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Looks pretty darn good. Great job on the window and door trim. A big X's 2 great job. I like the simple stripe. Be Well Gator
jimstixxx Posted July 30, 2015 Author Posted July 30, 2015 first times using bare metal foil around the door sills. Take some time but looks good when you're finished. Still gotta few little things left but it turned out well. Thanks everyone for all the great comments!
kilrathy10 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Nice work, Man....I like the storage locker....This is a pretty good looking rig for $20.....The simple striping is money making.....I like it....
#1Volsfan Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Really nice looking KW. The single stripe and the stretch on the frame with the headache rack really set this truck off. These snap KW's really are nice kits for the price.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 It was already looking good, but that stripe really makes this truck. Great Work!!!
19nova72 Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Good looki'n K-Wopper. I really like that shade of red.?
jimstixxx Posted August 12, 2015 Author Posted August 12, 2015 Thank you everyone, workin on my Lonestar screamin eagle now..next on the list.
kevjoh Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 With a little bit of work the Italeri 2 piece plastic tires are a perfect fit for the KW snap rims. Wheel spacer needs to be widened a bit. Always thought the kit tires are a bit skinny plus don't really fit the kit rims all that well
