BIGTRUCK Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Im high on the customs right now ,and its a custom F-85 wagon. This is good stuff.
maltsr Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Great start Shane, I'll be following this as I've already built a custom version myself and have another in the stash.
slammedi'am Posted August 24, 2015 Author Posted August 24, 2015 Thanks guys.... Wanted to do something diff on this wagon and it really being my first wagon,I wanna do it right...I wont be using these wheels on it,will be ordering a couple sets and will decide on which ones I end up with Got the body in primer and still doing some fine tweaking on the hood
Ron Hamilton Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 That is so nice!!!!! I am working on a '62 Buick Special wagon myself. I have not decided on a color yet. It is still in primer.
charlie8575 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 I need to finish restoring my '61. The paint got goobered, along with some of the body repair. I also decided on a different color, so back to the drawing board...Charlie Larkin
1930fordpickup Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 This is killer. The shorter hood scoop looks better. The longer you leave the wheels on it the more they will grow on you.
slusher Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Something you don't see often is a F-85 wagon. Great looking wheels and stance...
slammedi'am Posted August 25, 2015 Author Posted August 25, 2015 Thanks everyone... As for the wheels,Im tired of using Pegasus wheels... I like that style of wheels alot (big/little combos) but need a diff style...About to make a big order with Zimmerman and will use his wheels for my big builds and Pegasus on fun goof off builds
jbwelda Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 those gotta be pretty rare, right? congrats on taking on a rare kit! plus its a totally kool kar, and the body looks very impressive, that was JoHans strong point I believe.jb
60s era Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Very Nice Build .. Cumming along great ! ! Really like the Hood Scoop.. I am doing a 62 2dr Sedan right now, although it will be Stock - it will have Opening Doors and Opening Trunk. I like you build a lot... Very Nice ..... Tom / 60s era

ChrisBcritter Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 I look forward to seeing more - are you going with a big block Olds? Maybe a Pro Street Nova chassis?
60s era Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Shane . Your friends 62 is Very Nice .. He did great job on that one for sure... Love the Paint and the Pro Touring look.. If I had another 62 Kit I would do it up not stock , as the one I'm doing is a tribute to one I owned Many years ago..Do you or possibly your friend still have the Original 215 V8 for either of the Models ??? If so would you be interested intrading or whatever for one ??? Keep up the Great Work Tom
