StyreneDestinations Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Here's my recently completed AMT 1/25 1965 Buick Riv. I chopped it, laid the pillars back and blocked it out flat. Wired the engine, and cut my own velocity stacks out of brass ferrules. Used the obligatory "clear" steering wheel with this one. BMF on the rockers, rattle can flat black on the body. Fun build but probably wouldn't chop this agressively next time.
Ramfins59 Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Nice looking Riv Mark. It could use some BMF on the windshield frame.

Snake45 Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 A very different take on this old classic. I think I like it!
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 This generation Riviera is SO good looking and well-proportioned, it's almost impossible to improve on. My hat is off to you, sir. You made it better. Your chop proportions and pillar layback angle are absolutely perfect.
disabled modeler Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Nice work Mark....love the 60s cars.

I took on this build with trepidation, because as you said it's a beautiful car, and if I had fouled it with a poor chop I would have been very disappointed. I had feared I had gone a bit too heavy on the chop, but you've reassured me!
