slusher Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Great build Iceman. I really like it. Where did you get the fender for the spare mount??
fseva Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Wow! Gotta bunch of questions - is it black metallic? Did you use real wood on the bed? BTW, nice flat white grille!
59 Impala Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Nice work Iceman. Looks great. Do you have another pic of the hoses fer the water? Dan
IceMan Collections Posted September 6, 2015 Author Posted September 6, 2015 Thanks everyone. I appreciate all the comments. Carl - I don't know who cast the fender. Sorry. It was in my resin parts box. Frank - the color is nocturne blue and it is metallic. The bed is balsa wood painted to look that way and Detail Master PE strips. Here's another pic. The grille is actually gloss white without a clear coat. Dan - I noticed the same thing after posting pics so I went back and am now doing a little more work on the engine bay including adding those hoses. Good catch.
disabled modeler Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 The spare tire mount fender does not look too hard to convert from the kit one to me...I have to try it soon.
62rebel Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 very nice! Gonna have to buy another one now
IceMan Collections Posted September 7, 2015 Author Posted September 7, 2015 Many thanks Mark and Curt.
Tom Geiger Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 I think Ken Kitchen may make that fender. Kitchen Table Resins... he owns a real one!
wayne swayze Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Nice truck! Ford made some killer trucks over the decades, and this is yet another of my favourites.
Mr Stock Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 (edited) Nice work Joel, looks great Edited September 8, 2015 by Mr Stock
IceMan Collections Posted September 9, 2015 Author Posted September 9, 2015 Thank Wayne, Luis and Gary. Appreciate it.
rmvw guy Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Nice job Joel. The spare tire sets it apart from the rest. Love the way you did the bed also. And the white grill gives it more of a work truck look. I Always love stock builds, don't care what anyone else says about that.
IceMan Collections Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 Thank Ron. Appreciate it. I have to have a stock version of my builds as well.
BIGTRUCK Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Good lookin Ford, I get bored building things stock, Ive tried it,but I enjoy looking at builds like yours.
IceMan Collections Posted September 16, 2015 Author Posted September 16, 2015 Thanks, Ken. I know what you mean though. I used to not build anything stock. Now I try building at least two at a time, making one stock and customizing the rest, this helps me personally. This is my 4th 53 and I have another one on the bench for a November contest. Will be posting that in a few weeks.
59 Impala Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 I like what you did to this truck Joel. I like the color. I combined AMT's and MPC's to make a dump truck. I remember seeing small dump trucks when I was a kid and thought I could replicate one. Just an idea fer someone who might want to do something different. Dan
gatorincebu Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Real nice job on one of the classic trucks of the day! Be Well Gator
IceMan Collections Posted September 17, 2015 Author Posted September 17, 2015 Thank Fan and Marc. I appreciate it.
Lovefordgalaxie Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 That's a nice truck. She has a cool work truck vibe with the chrome mirrors. By the way, the blue custom on your avatar, well, that is the coolest non-stock F-100 I ever saw.
IceMan Collections Posted September 17, 2015 Author Posted September 17, 2015 Thanks Tulio. Really appreciate it.
