James2 Posted September 27, 2015 Author Posted September 27, 2015 I managed to get some color on it today and a little assembly. Here the interior is mocked up too!
James2 Posted September 29, 2015 Author Posted September 29, 2015 Straight out'da paint booth! I just wanted to say that once, now I'm good.
Sledsel Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Looks really good in those colors. Below the score line on the lower fender should be argent. That actually should be part of the valance. Just an FYI.
tubbs Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Yesterday I discovered that a local hobby shop carries Model Car World paint. Not just a few but, they have the rights for the paint. I mentioned the color I needed and he looked it up in the MCW book. It's not a special order color but not on the shelf either. I asked how long to get it in? Since it's not a SO a couple minutes! And then he went in the back, mixed the color and came back with this... Just like the old days at the body supply. James, i know i will forget to ask on thursday, what hobby shop sells that paint?
James2 Posted September 30, 2015 Author Posted September 30, 2015 Thanks guys, I'm gonna let it sit before polishing then add BMF. Wings Wheels and Waves
Dominik Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Looks real good! like the weathering. not too much, right as is

peekay Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 I agree with the others - looks really good in those colours and you're doing a excellent job!
James2 Posted October 4, 2015 Author Posted October 4, 2015 Thanks guys, it's all finished and can be seen in "Under Glass"
RDean58 Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Great looking kit, but you are not quite done with the BMF. Along the top of the fins at the rear where the color separation is are some chrome trim. They can be seen in the picture below. The kit actually does have some very slight indications of this chrome molding on the rear.
Geno Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Wow, that is one sweet looking wagon, great job.
carro Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 That's one hot wagon! Love the color and all the details. How did you get the surface rust look on the exhaust system, what colors and steps did you take to achieve that look?

The Exhaust was done with a combination of Gun Metals, Black spray. Then Rust and Brown dry brushing with dull coat sprayed over that. The finished model is in "Under Glass"
