While I will say that I have had positive experiences with Revell and Polar Lights specifically, here's the one issue I have with errors on model kits. There is a company out there that makes "kits" that are virtually error free in my experience. I have built about 40 or so over the last 15 years and have never had a missing part, poor fit or a mistake in the instructions. A company that truly cares about the product they make. I'm certain that they do have a customer service department. No company is perfect, but it's my guess that the majority of their products with a problem are caught before it leaves the factory.

It's corkscrew logic for a company to think, "That's okay, we'll fix it when they complain." Some folks don't complain. They simply buy from another source.

Good to know. Sometimes, errors slip through, and there's a centralized correction area.

Despite Revell's hiccups, things like this point to an inherently well-run company that needs to work on the fine points of making a truly first-class product.
