Cato, thanks for the link to Mr. Cox's site. I'm now one of his biggest fans ... he does to Pochers what I've dreamt of doing myself ... like an Allison in a RR ... someday

until then, I have folks like Bo to help show the way ...

Yes Mike the Allison Roller is my hands-down fave of all his stuff; with the S-12 a close second!

Beautiful and meticulous Bo. I may be wrong but I thought the steering wheels were off-white. If they were, Skip will be in here to yell at you...

Steering wheel rims could be white, black, wood, or in some cases tan as in a couple of 500Ks.

The only thing that looks odd about this steering wheel to me is that the spokes should be all polished metal with a black inset line in the middle of each spoke.

Skip, you are perfectly right!
I have missed this one
:o
I have to consider what to about it, leave it or try to fix it.

Again, not much to show

I have put some BMF on brass Mercedes emblem, and use some blue permanent marker on it.

Bad photo, looks better when you see it from a little distance.
Maybe this would be the last photo in this WIP, next time I hope I can show it finished

The star has normally been white.

Thank you Skip for your comments.

I have used this for reference but in some other photos the star is white.

Hmm, maybe I will try with some white on the star.

At last it is finished

It has been a long, fun and challenging work to get this kit together. Over a year on my workbench.
Without the DVD from P. Koo and the support from members/friends in this forum I could not managed it. Thank you!!!

The most challenging parts in this build it was the hood fit and that I have a maroon colored main body and the rest was in white.  I have learned a lot, that I can take with me in to the next build, what now that would be.

I think this Mercedes is a very beautiful car, (I don´t mean my model).

I hope this thread could be to some help, if anyone would take the challenge to build a Pocher Mercedes.

Don't sell yourself short, you did fantastically well on this build. I think your model looks amazing. All the hard work has been well worth it.

First words out of my mouth were "Oh my god"

That is stunningly beautiful, absolutely positively gorgeous

You may see the warts, but all I see is a beauty queen

Marvellous work

Excellent job Bo. You made it! Looks wonderful. Now finish the job and make a glass case for it. Would be a shame to leave it out to collect dust and be at risk.

Bravo! On to a Rolls-Royce now!

Thank you

Tony, Scott Skip Thomas, Hugh, Mike, Bruce and Cato I appreciate that!
Cato, glass box fixed, maybe a Bugatti or a Alfa Romeo, but first something smaller in 1:24

You think that it was difficult to paint?  You should try to paint (and decal) one of these models.

The coin is about 18mm in diameter. :D

But seriously, you did a wonderful job on that Mercedes!  Congratulations!  About 30 years ago built the 4-passenger version of that Mercedes (which was produced by Pocher before your version of model).  At that time I built it mostly stock, so it is nearly not as good as yours. It also took me about a year to complete.
