Scott Colmer Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 I agree with everyone else. It looks great lowered. Good choice! The tires are Revell items. They came in the Rodfather and Mustang Funny car kits from the late 70's.
PatW Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 (edited) Looks great Jim! What sort of crazy pies are you cooking up? Edited September 18, 2015 by PatW
crazyjim Posted September 18, 2015 Author Posted September 18, 2015 Thank you James & Patrick. It's Friday, so that would be pizza pie.
russosborne Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 I can't really tell, did you paint the interior the same color? If not, how did you install the interior after building/painting the body? One of my all time favorites. Yours looks great. I never would have thought about lowering the back end like you did, but that is an excellent way to do it.I'm really liking all of the Tom Daniel's cars showing up here recently. Probably 7 out of my top 10 of all time models are his. You guys are making me want to actually get going and build one or two.Russ
crazyjim Posted September 19, 2015 Author Posted September 19, 2015 Thanks Russ.Nope. The interior is go mango and orange. After the body was glued together I made a notecard template to fit and then used it to cut sheet styrene. Tenax was used to glue it in place. The floor plate was ground until it fit real tight. Except for the seats, the interior was brush painted after the body was painted and cleared.
TimJ Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Great job Jim. It looks better with the lowered rear end.
