I used a 427 Ford mill, Midget Racer nose, 1970 Chevelle headers, and a few other bits and scratched parts,. I intended to paint it pearl white, but decided on Orange instead, to jive better with all the Tangerine running gear and interior. The top is an AMT unit and it was already blue so the stripes make sense...sorta.....

For your next build; A 427 has a front mounted distributor.

careful there...this almost looks like a rivet.   ;)

but seriously, GM did make a "427"... however, most persons familiar with that version of 427 wouldn't instantly recognize it in your fine and colorful build.

I did know that, as i have a friend who is TOTALLY Ford...but the Revell Parts Pack engine has...yup, you guessed it, the distributor in the rear!!! So that is how it panned out.

Amazing what Revell is pushing out the door these days...and sad.

Nice work on the 29. Looking forward to seeing your plans for other builds.

Side note the Revell parts packs are from the mid 60s. Just goes to show they didn't get everything right then either.

This combination actually works quite well, big engine and all. The strong colors and graphics are certainly an important part of the effect. Very cool! I must remember the Revell midget nose cone for these, since it scales so much better that the one than comes with the venerable Revellogram Rat Rod kits...
